First ever City game

Newcastle at Home 18 January 1975 won 5-1 Tueart hat trick, Geoff Hammond & Colin Bell. Noel Gallagher also claims it as his first game too. I have still got the programme it cost 5 pence! A lovely lady called Susan Cuff is in the running to win Miss Manchester City! She did, and then nearly won Miss UK, but, ended up presenting Mr & Mrs with that orange bloke Derek Batey years later.
I hate boring Sunday afternoons, thankfully next Sunday won't be!

1986 youth cup final against the rags only six but sweet because we won I was in the paper with Paul power after the replay in 81 as well I was crying and the cheeky fuck in whatever paper called me a rag in disguise

blackley77 - you are aware that the lovely Susan Cuff married David Davies, the United personage who came to wield a lot of power in the FA (communications director, or something)?
How could you love a United bigwig?

First ever City game was against Sheffield United at Bramhall Lane in 1967.

My first game at Maine Road was against Reading in the FA Cup in January 1968.

I was a bit confused because City played in their purple away strip, and I kept asking my brother why?

He didn't know, and neither, to this day, do I. I'm still confused by it.

Manchester City vs Birmingham City

Division One (Old)

Sat 25 August 1973.

Score: W 3-1

Attendance: 35881

It was on MoTD and Denis Law scored two on his first home game back for us after we signed him on a free. The King got the other. Great memories.

Sheffield United away.....A riot at that game, remember that we even had a write up in the Pink about the trouble afterwards. We took over the home end and pushed their fans down to the front. Remember bottles and bricks cascading down, the 6 fingered yorkshire clowns never knew what hit them. It was the moment in time when the Kippax started to flex its muscle.

City v QPR in 1993, we won three nil was in the kippax think I was 14. Oddly can't remember who scored only the qpr fans whinging how bad Les Ferdinand was on the way out.
