First ever dog

Don’t even think of even two rescue Beagles and one is a nightmare on its own.
Great looking and loads of fun but the naughtiest dogs ive ever had.

My suggestion would be a Golden Retriever easy to train and will e happy to do what you want to do not what they want to do as in the case of ‘The Dangerous Brothers’
there's a clue in the name - retriever, it helps with recall - that's not in the beagle dictionary!

We had a brilliant Golden Retriever, handsome bugger and great in all departments but would he retrieve, not a chance and I seriously cant remember him bringing anything back in 11 years. We threatened him under the Trades Discription act, he was totally useless mainly because he couldn't be bothered and mainly because we had a Labrador as well, so.....If you want a retriever get a Black Lab.

My 2 small terrier type scruffy dogs (but very beautiful to me) were both from rescue centres. Adore them both. Cost me a donation to the centre. Fantastic company. Have a look at rescue centres. They are full due to people struggling with cost of living.

Probably posted before but retiring in 6 months.
Never had a dog and know the restrictions. Don’t really want a topical/ fancy dog but considering a Hungarian vialsa ,anyone owned or previously had one ?
Bought my first dog two years ago and just become partially retired.
Collie- corgi cross and she’s amazingly friendly and not too energetic.
