The fact it's a video showing a few thugs getting hit about isn't what's making people feeling better. It's that our police force are finally fighting back which is reassuring, and anyone who doesn't feel better about that must have issues.

As one of the more "left wing" members of bluemoon I've got to question what you're on about. It's a pretty fair amount of force, you could hardly call it brutality and it shows that the police are getting a grip on the situation.

i presume you are around 20 years old had an easy life still live with mummy and daddy and long for a liberal government.
this doesnt make people feel better this makes people think the police are actually doing something at last. people out on bikes when they have been told not to go into the city centre? you think they were innocent by standers?
 
This is the sort of thing the Police are going to get hammered for.

The fact those on bikes were being pursued from behind by riot cops tells it own story. Who knows what they were doing leading up to this?

For that reason, it's hard to feel immediate sympathy for them.

I am not left wing or right wing I just get an immense feeling of shame that this forum is so jolly in the fact that young people are having to be beaten in the streets, if they deserve it or not doesn't come into it for me, its the thirst for vengence which I find just as sickening as the looting and rioting.
