First job,first wage.

Glass collector at Philips park hall In 1982 paid £7 for a 6 hour shift, my mate told me there was always jobs going and to apply.
I did and the week later he got the sack and I took his job, some good laughs working there, pity it's gone now.

1986, butchers asst part time age 14 @ the spar next to waggon and horses top of Handforth. Earning about £15 pw for all day Saturday and a couple of nights after school each week. 14 hrs in total....

Fucking hated it

1981 failed A levels and got a job as steam roller driver at £70 per week cash in hand. 4 months later became trainee accountant earning £31 per week Gross !!!!

Shopping Giant, shelf stacker. Don't know the wage, slept since then! Paid weekly cash in a brown envelope (sounds like a familiar method of payment that lives on to this day in other professions)
Me too £600 a month in the Lateshop. Hated it!
