Fixture congestion...

Wasn't Spurs supposed to be played on the 17th of April? That will have to moved back. Can see it becoming like it was last season.

Arsenal are a fine example of how not to do it.
Mancini goes on and on about tiredness, ferguson chooses not to moan but always rotates when he deems essential ( Saturday in the cup )

Don't mistake my call for player rotation as an acceptance of losing /not caring.
However, risking key players before our biggest game of the season ( to date )at chelsea on Sunday could prove a mortal blow.He risked silva and kompany in the arris game and paid the price
against fulham on the Sunday.

We've come so far and now some people want us to pick and choose?
What about the year Stretford won the treble and Liverpool the Mickey Mouse treble (swap the FA Cup for the League Cup)???

OK, so let's ''lose'' tomorrow - does it guarentee us a win in the FA Cup? Look at Arsenal - up for the quadrouple 3 weeks ago..... now with only the PL left.
It is the sign of a successful club (or a club on the right lines) that is involved in such competitions at this stage of the season..........

WE ENTER EACH GAME TO WIN...... from now till the end of May......

Success breeds success........... small mindedness breads nothing...

spot on

If we stay in all comps then Spurs would have to be played on the 20th April and Stoke at home brought forward to the 11th May (3 days before the FA Cup final). No other option as far as I can see.

I'm not sure how "small minded" comes into it. Anyway, I have come to my opinion on the basis that the team clearly aren't coping with the amount of fixtures. The evidence of this is before our very eyes, twice a week. For me we have a genuine chance of winning the cup and getting top 4. From what I have seen, if we keep going in the Europa League, we will end up with nothing. Like I said, I don't like it but to me it is pretty obvious from the performances that we aren't capable of truly going for it in all 3 competitions. I'd rather be pragmatic than stupidly optimistic.

That is correct.

The possibility of 3 games a week for the last 4 weeks of the season looms large
And will fuck it all up

We will not cope which is why not rotating wholesale is not an option it is ESSENTIAL.

Small minded in the way that ''ooooh only 2 years ago we were in a relegation battle, lets sack the UEFA Cup to boost our chances in the FA Cup and Top 4 place.''
City want to be a BIG team.... so that means as of NOW (not next year or the year after) we are going all guns blazing for every trophy on offer. united have done it successfully for 20 years, Arsenal and Liverpool successfully (to a lesser extent) too.
As I said, look at Arsenal 3 weeks ago, going on four fronts. Their fans would LOVE to be in the position we found ourselves in today, as would the Scousers. Yet some fans are happy to throw some of it away with NO guarentee of any success as a trade off.
YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL - BUT HOW MUCH DO YA WAN' IT?????????????

ha ha get a load of us eh. how long ago was it that people were doing their nut over fielding a 2nd 11 in the league cup saying who do we think we are to be able to show any cup such disdain given our history, and now this. if we want success then this is what comes with it i'm afraid and why should it be affecting us more than it has others.

a little bit of rotation and a slap for anyone that complains they are tired
