Fixtures Calendar - 2023/24

I'd just like to say:
I predicted (somewhere on the forum),
1. We'd be away in our 1st match
2. We'd be playing one of the teams that came up
3. It would probably be Burnley due to Kompany connection, or Luton for 1993 connection

tick, tick, tick.

So predictable, and obviously 'engineered' by the PL.

Oh and I've just looked further, another of the teams coming up Sheffield in the same month, also away.
And a tight match with Newcastle as well.

That, as per last year, looks designed to try and give City the worst possible start, without hurting the cartel clubs.
2 teams coming up, full of fire and wanting to get points on the door, and our 'dirty oil bedmates'.

That looks like a league winning calendar with March being the time when the rivals' dreams will be shattered (ie if they're not 10 points ahead of us at that time, they know they fucked up).

That makes it 7 seasons on the spin and 9 in the last 10 that City have started the season away. The corollary is that the rags have opened the season at home 9 times in the last 10 seasons. At least we're at home for the final fixture. (5th time in the last 10 seasons which is 50/50).
The final fixture is far more important.

October November looks like a stitch up to me.
Including champions league games there is no way these fixtures weren’t hand chosen to all fall one after another.

We know who the real cheats are, and it’s definitely not
Manchester City!

I am pretty torn about the opening fixtures, particularly the Burnley away. That is usually a banker 3 points, but we will be our usual slothful not warmed up early season selves on that one, so at an immediate disadvantage. Then we have supposedly 'easy' fixtures that should be 'wins', but we will face 11 behind the ball (apart from Newcastle) so will find it difficult to get rhythm going. So we start to lose ground. Fwiw I think Dips and Arse will be flying out the traps. I haven't looked at their fixtures yet, but the 19/20 season when it was manipulated to get them the title, we had similar 'non challenging ' fixtures early doors, whilst apart from us they had all the 'top' teams mainly away and banked the points. And as usual we are screwed over around the time of the CL knock outs. What is for sure is that the establishment don't want us winning 4 consecutive PLs. Random fixtures. Ha what a flaming laugh....

I am still trying to find confirmation that the club request an away game to start the season.

Do you have a link to it?
Can't find any confirmation about City requesting to be away on the opening day but it has been spoken about a lot over the years.

And here's a story about Luton and Liverpool requesting to be away on the opening day from yesterday morning.
