The computer drew them at home first then on those occasions. It's a 2 horse race at the end of the day, not like its a one in ten chance they would be at home, it's simply 50/50. I could toss a coin now and it could land on heads 6 times in a row. It wouldn't be shocking if that happened, it's just how 50/50 works.

Look hard at last year's fixture program. We played Chelsea 5 times, all away and Arsenal 4 times , 3 times away.

Man United didn't have to play Chelsea at all and got Blackburn 5 times and Wigan six times. All at home.

What a lot of people don't realise is that United actually lost the title to Chelsea but the FA purposely added 4 points for United and noone noticed.

Rags, the fucking lot of them. The whole fucking world. Everyone.

Well DD, and don't tell anyone this, I have it on good authority that when it's Fergie's swansong season, the PL are going to give him a 10 point head start, plus the permitted use of a 12th man, quite simply as a gesture of his services to the Premier League since it began. It's a disgwace!!!

I heard the Premier League are allowing the rags to put the net up back to front at the end the away team are shooting, they will leave a small hole and if by chance someone is that accurate the away team are awarded half a goal

That must have been on the part of the memo that was burnt off by the time I got it. Did your memo also say about the plan the PL have to have a dastardly electrician rig our flood lights for night matches? Mine did. It said that he will flick the switch on and off, with a comical, yet evil look on his face. Another 10 points deducted it said...

Your memo must have got burnt a bit by one of the candles on the dinner table of last month's cross-media BDC (Bring Down City) lunch. I got mine from Mark Lawrenson who kept it nice and neat.

The winners of the league are always at home first game the following season but what really gets me is how on many an occasion when this has happened they have been at home last game also, that is a fix it means we have had seasons where our first and last games we have been away

How can it be a fix? If they win the league we HAVE to be away, that's not a fix, it's just the way it is.

That's cos they're the Champions. The Champions begin at home first, so I believe anyway.

We will get Arsenal away, Spurs away, United away, Liverpool away, Chelsea away and then a combination of all 5 of them at the same time, again it will be away. Infact we aren't home until January.

They were not Champions each of the last 6 years that they have played home 1st game.

Since the last time we played at home on the opening day we've:

Played Chelsea the champions away.
Played away at Blackburn, Villa and West Ham when United were champs.
Played away at Spurs last season, if you believe the rumour about the club wanting an away game first to finish off City Square then that's why, but that's the only season we could maybe question not having a home game first.
