Swansea at home???,,,,,can The Sun be right for once???

They will put some twist on it??

EXCLUSIVE SUN STORY

Sheikh Mansour paid the Prem league for a match at home and should have his Fit and Competent taken away from him so Moneybags City will have no more Moneybags and we can stop making up silly transfer rumours that get us landed with legal notices

City will be gunning for four trophies during the 2011/12 season and here are some dates that you need to make a note of for the three knock-out competitions Roberto Mancini’s are involved in.

The Blues will enter the Carling Cup at the third round stage this season due to Champions League qualification. That means just five wins away from another Wembley final – the dates for this year’s Carling Cup are:

Round 3: 21 September

Round 4: 26 October

Round 5: 30 November

Semi-final, first leg: 11 January

Semi-final, second leg: 25 January

Final: 26 February

The Champions League group stages begin in September and it would take 12 games to reach the final in Munich next May. The draw takes place on 25 August in Monaco and the games are played on either a Tuesday or Wednesday with the key dates being:

Matchday 1: 13–14 September 2011

Matchday 2: 27–28 September 2011

Matchday 3: 18–19 October 2011

Matchday 4: 1–2 November 2011

Matchday 5: 22–23 November 2011

Matchday 6: 6–7 December 2011

The Round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals are played over two legs and the final will be on 19 May at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Interestingly, all six of the Blues' group stage matches are followed by away Premier League fixtures - three in the north-west and three in London!

City begin their defence of the FA Cup on 7 January and will hope the quest ends at Wembley on 5 May. The dates for the 2011/12 competition are:

FA Cup third round: 7 January

FA Cup fourth round: 28 January

FA Cup fifth round: 18 February

FA Cup sixth round: 17 March

FA Cup semi-final: 14 April

FA Cup Final: 5 May

When are the FA Cup semi's?
If they're 28 April ( likely) and us or Rags are in them ( likely ) - then our Derby could be moved last game if it is a title decider : last games are all played on the same day, but if not affecting anyone else...?
Just dreaming about the perfect way to win the league :-)

14/15 April. Final is on May 5th because of Euro 2012 preparations.

Oh well, dream over. We'll just have to win it with two still to play.

Cheers for info buddy!

We had some posts over the past few weeks, that at the start of each season the PL Winners always played at home.
Where did that idea come from ?
I`ve never read anything about it,but some people thought otherwise.
Have to ask as my previous thread has been pulled by a MOD,but I put it in a slightly different context. lol
Wrong side of the bed this morning !!!
I checked on PL site some months back and quoted all the relevant PL fixture rules. There has never been a rule that the PL Champions play their first match at home. People think there is because historically this is what happens.

I'm astounded by that because it's something that is often quoted by commentators etc. on the opening day of the season and is something that has appeared as a 'fact' in various articles over the years. I like to see myths exploded, but if this is the case (and I'm sure there are lots of media commentators, football stattos and the like who will say the tradition is that the Champs have the option of playing at home on the opening day) then those conspiracy theorists who said it's unfair that Utd tend to start at home actually do have a point.

Did you hear that Pidge?

Gary has spoken!! ;-)
