I think it's simply unreasonable to claim on something that has been provided free of charge, as a gesture of good will and with best intentions. Even if consequential losses have been incurred and regardless of individual circumstances. Typical of the where there's blame culture that we now live in. Fully aware it's not the club that pays the compensation.
I wasn’t on it and know nobody who was so no agenda. Why do you have to pay for something to be compensated if they have failed to provide a service? You’re compensated for your time, any losses etc. It isn’t a refund on a ticket. I’d have been right on compensation if someone I was travelling with failed to provide what they had been paid to provide (doesn’t matter who paid them)
