Flooding in Stockport

The airport relief roads floods all the time. Seems like drainage wasn’t thought about and it’s actually causing other areas to flood.
I think its poorly designed, just like the Alderley Edge bypass. They both rely on pumps, to take surface water from low points. The pumps are unreliable to say the least.
 

Bridgewater Canal has collapsed near Dunham Massey. That's a costly repair.
 
Major flooding around Stockport.



The roundabout near Bramhall park is under water. My Mrs sister has just rang her to say her house is flooded, she lives near Jackson Lane. The airport relief road is flooded and shut. The M56 near the airport is closed. Tiviot way near Tesco is shut, it's an absolute nightmare.

This roundabout flooding is right near me. It's awful for the home owners. I hope the insurers sort things out as soon as they can and get the dehumidifiers and repairs in place.

When the M60 first opened it flooded regularly between Oldham and Denton, the camber was just wrong. Crap planning and design that cost millions to fix
