We need champions league football to have any chance of getting him be intresting to see who misses out in the team for him if we do.

It’s becoming clear that RM are not a realistic option.

It’s City v Bayern.

Bayern: Wirtz’s father (also his agent) wants Bayern

City: Bayer Leverkusen want to sell to City (basically anyone other than Bayern) and also want McAtee.

The player himself is undecided.

What else do we have an idea of?

It seems City want Wirtz in 2025. Bayern want him in 2026 but would take him 2025 if they must.

Bayer have an unsigned contract in front of Wirtz as his current contract runs out in 2027.

The main reasons his father wants him to go to Bayern is he himself is a Bayern fan and he also believes it will help his son perform better at the World Cup if he is based in Germany.

Bayern can afford to go all out for Wirtz but it is unlikely they can match City’s offer.

Bayern (strangely) have said in the past they believe the chances of getting Wirtz are 10% though that was some time ago and things have probably moved on since.

I have no idea of course but I will day this…..if he goes to Bayern and there are Blues on here that come out with “he was always going to Bayern it was obvious all along” then I don’t believe it for a second and neither should you. Lose the “lickle City”mentality. We have a reasonable chance whether we win or lose.

If I had to guess I would say without CL next year we would have a 20% chance. With CL 55%.

That’s a thing that’s a little concerning. His father constantly trying to push him to Bayern.

We say a similar thing with Sane and her mother as well. His GF preferred Manchester but ultimately he had to leave for Bayern.

The best thing about your Agueros Silva Kompany or KDB was - there was no one whispering sweet something in their ears all year long.
Remember Sane and Wirtz are relatively are all very young. Parents can sway them as they please.

And let’s be very realistic. Bayern is as great a move for him as City. The Bayern influence on the national team is something very tangible.

To summarise my above rant, would hate for us to be in a similar situation as Bellingham or Rice. This is one position where we don’t have the luxury to fuck up.
 
Sounds to me like Wirtz is still open to any outcome regarding City or Bayern, but his Dad (his agent and also a Bayern fan apparently) obviously wants his son to join the team he supports.

We've offered €150m and £400k a week according to that Bild article.

Bild are a mouth piece for Bayern so the figures must not be too far off as they will have been clearly leaked.

At least we cant deny the club have gone al in? Before all the wingeing bastards start if/when we dont get him.

Which if the case is promising as means he’s entertaining the offer.

I think we’ve got a bloody good chance with this one, more than Bellingham/Rice.

As both us and Munich are in the CWC we can enter for him in the early window.

Also as some have suggested Munich might be a bit more tied up with wages to big players with Muller, Kimmich, Sane, Kane, Muisala, Davies all earning big.
