Wirtz starts against Bayern in like half an hour, fyi
Well that’s a shame
Well that’s a shame
He must be on our special smoothies for that to happen ;)I think KDB's going to surprise you. I am predicting a triumphant return after Xmas and a big part in our late season. Continuing on into next season
That’s what I always thought about. They play the same position unless they tryna move to a 4-3-3 and even then it would be too „ offensive „. Only a double 10 in a 3-4-2-1 or something would work. Musiala on the wings is wasted. If Wirtz isn’t dumb he will leave Germany. And do what? Split time with Musiala? There's no realistic formation that would suit playing both...JMO

Let's be clear here, that's absolutely no successor to Kev no matter what names get thrown about; we just need to find a slightly different way of going about things.Never saw Paqueta is a KDB successor but more of a Gundo one. It's a shame since I really wanted Wirtz, but not surprised since the whole of Germany is Bayern's academy.
Yep, like Yaya, Silva and Rodwell before him. There is no replacement for Kev and I think Pep knows that.Let's be clear here, that's absolutely no successor to Kev no matter what names get thrown about; we just need to find a slightly different way of going about things.

Pep has brought in Kovacic, Nunes and we are clearly looking at Paqueta, they are all very similar players in my opinion. Smooth on the ball, can carry it up the pitch and hopefully can chip in with a few goals if we can sprinkle a bit of the Gundo magic on them. They will go some way to replacing what Kev brings us.

Is your point that each club is only allowed one superstar youngster?Wirtz options are limited.
Bayern have Musiala. Real have Bellingham, Barca Pedri.
England it is, or PSG.
Real are about to lose Kroos/ Modric and they play Camavinga as a fullback now so there's always a place in their midfield for Wirtz.Wirtz options are limited.

Keep running with the diamond, they could easy goReal are about to lose Kroos/ Modric and they play Camavinga as a fullback now so there's always a place in their midfield for Wirtz.
It would be :
Bellingham+ Valverde or Tchouameni+Wirtz
Everytime i have watched Wirtz one player comes to mind Foden not KDB, so i do not expect City to go for him, if i were to take a Leverkusen player it would be our old boy Frimpong, i did say a few moths back when utd were mooching around that he was rubbish, but under Alonso his whole game has shot up.Apart from Szoboszlai, Wirtz would be the most straight forward KDB long-term replacement. Of course we have seen before that Pep rarely replaces his superstars with like-for-like players. I expect him to mould Alvarez, Foden, Paqueta or some other left field name to fit our new system whatever it might be.
