We are going to have to be smart about who we are getting to replace KDB

Cause it's not looking good that we let him go and don't have a replacement for him.

Hope we get the alternative one right

He just doesn’t wanna play for city. It’s that simple.

It was a perfect storm when Pep arrived. We had kdb, David silva, fern, Kompany, sterling aguero etc all starving and hungry for success.

We added walker, ederson, Bernardo, Gundo, mahrez to that and we became almost unbeatable.

Now those players are old or have left and the replacements we have signed simply haven’t been good enough.

We will still win the odd cup and challenge for the league but won’t dominate like we had done. It was great whilst it lasted.

I sort of agree with this,we are turning into arsenal under wenger ..

It was never our right to dominate. We had a great run

In that time frame whilst they’re still here Pep will play them every game whilst the new signings rot on the bench
 
Cherki and Simmons are there. 1 of those 2 has to be unless we are missing someone who isn’t known enough yet. Baena is more of a left midfielder

Its very disappointing. Hes the one player we had a chance of signing this summer who really has that world class potential. We are now stuck with second level players who might turn out decent signings but won't be game changing signings.

Was thinking earlier how big the drop off is currently with this squad. Now KDB is leaving, who out of this current squad could we describe as absolute elite? Rodri absolutely pre ACL, Haaland (that is being questioned a lot by many people), Foden if he can get back to last years form, Ruben maybe. Thats about it. The next David Silva, KDB, Yaya is nowhere to be seen. Sadly Wirtz was a big chance to set us up for the next 6/7 years and we've missed out again.
