On the other hand, in the absence of Kev, he would probably start most games. I don't think we would pay 100m euros and bench him. I think he would get a very good amount of games. I do understand his logic, though. Lets be honest, this is all setup for Wirtz to have a stormer of a tournament next summer in his own backyard and then join Bayern as is the usual pattern for all talent in Germany.

Kev will be back for 2024 & will be looking to cement his place in the Belgium squad. I'd see things differently if it were me, especially because I'd have to step up my game because of the increased competition in the PL & CL... But I'm a City fan innit? \0/
