I see the source, but I hope this is true. Having said that, we would have to make a move for him this summer, or he is off to Bayern. He is in the superior team, though, so why would he downgrade ;)? He won't be able to do that in the Bundesliga, so I hope it's us for him.
This is our biggest obstacle. I am sure Wirtz would be tempted to follow...

I've said it from last summer. He is the one. It's him and Phil behind Erling. That's the magic8 goals and 12 assists in all competitions this season. He is someone we should use a lot of our resources to try and get in the summer.

If Xabi decides to go to Bayern, there's almost guarantee that Wirtz will follow him too. Him being a german will also makes things difficult too, Bayern will always have certain allure for german player.
And most likely other possible transfer target like Kimmich decides to stay if Tuchel goes and Xabi in.

If he wins the Bundesliga this season, it might make him want to win other league titles more?
