Florian Wirtz

Honestly his best option is City. The others either can’t buy him or have a better player at the same position ( Munich) or there are other players at his position( Madrid, ) or are horrible ( United) + there‘s teams where his best position doesn’t exist ( Barcelona). Don’t see him at PSG and Juventus doesn’t have the money same with Inter Milan.
Real Madrid, Bayern and Uniturd are all horrible.

Interesting. You used the Eszett, even though he generally doesn’t, but didn’t capitalize the H. I do notice you used the “oe” rather than the “ö” so I guess we’ve got that going for us!

I was joking, btw, as they’ve had their share of legal troubles amongst their ex-players, now club officials, over the years. However, I realize he’s the only one done on tax fraud.

I don't care how much Wirtz costs as long as it doesn't seriously hamper our rebuild in terms of PSR. I feel like he is a generational talent and already arguably the best midfielder / attacking midfielder in the world, and he's only 21. Unless he gets horrible injuries, he will be one of the best players in the world for the next 10 years.

Yep, add Wirtz to Haaland and Foden and you're guaranteed a world class attack for the next 7-8 years.

My mindset for a while now has been we are getting neither Musiala or Wirtz. Both feel like another Bellingham type scenario.

We just never know. Last year ITK's were willing to bet their kidneys on Bellingham to City, & as it turns out, Real were the only club ever really in the running.

However, there are constant rumours that Musiala wants to return "home" to the PL. The first consideration for Wirtz is price, & the second is prestige.

I can only see Florian moving to one of a few elite clubs in Europe, & without wading through the pluses & minuses of the contenders, I can only realistically see Bayern, Real & City who can cover the transfer fee, wages & offer the prestige.

BUT, how many more central midfielders do Real want to hoard & how will Leverkusen feel about losing their generational talent to Bayern, who'll definitely try to lowball Lever?

Mcatee may come in to play for Leverkusen as well if he fancies the challenge?

We should spend what it takes for both if they are up to it want to

Doesn’t work that way. There is going to always be a limit to how far we can spend because we need to have cash on hand for other acquisitions. I doubt we would go to 150. Maybe 110 or 120

I think people forget sometimes that City and our peer Madrid are only bringing in about 800 million a year in revenue. There isn’t as much free cash flow at times as people think.

There's only one question to ask Leverkusen .... How much do you want?

And one for Wirtz .... Number 4 now or wait until Grealish goes for number 10?

We aren’t United. The club isn’t going to throw money around recklessly. You can bet we have a ceiling in any potential negotiation.
I can't think of another player I'd rather succeed the City legend that is King Kev. The only question left to ask Leverkusen, is how much? As long as they don't start talking Monopoly money, I'm in.

Many thought we were bonkers buying KDB for £55m, but after nearly 10 years of spectacular service & the greatest of memories, that fee now seems like a steal.

Now isn't the time for taking chances, by nickel & diming regarding target negotiations. We need to acquire the VERY best & spend the next year or two transitioning from our legends to hopefully our new legends.

We lost the option of being selective & taking our time over transfers, when we didn't sufficiently strengthen whilst we were on top of England, Europe & the world.

Not united, because they overpay for shit and average shit. But we should try to be like Real Madrid, who pay what it takes to get the best.

If you buy average players because they’re cheaper, then the team will be average. If we want another CL and trophies, we need to buy the best we can possibly get.
