Florian Wirtz

If Wirtz doesn’t want to prove himself in the best league then he lacks ambition.
We're talking about the biggest teams in the world, and potentially him being a big part of them. It's at least understandable why he would want to talk to Bayern & Real Madrid. We need to do what we didn't do with Bellingham, and sell the project to him.

He joins us. One reason and one reason only Pep. Bayern have Kompany but he’s unproven he will win the league this year but doesn’t have the reputation of improving players yet. There’s been multiple briefs from Germany all season that the coach will factor massively in Wirtz decision.

Two knowing Madrid and following Spanish football Madrid are in a mess financially. High wages and now concert deal worth 360 million is being cancelled or is in danger of going. It’s why there’s a push from their side for a super league.

City can offer Wirtz. Kevs position , Kevs wages and to have the team built around him. Following German football all Wirtz is worried about is the World Cup year and playing his football in a first team to get his position in the national team. Madrid that’s a hard proposition to keep with their midfield talents. Bayern don’t have a coach he’d want to go to.

That leaves city. Which has the coach , has first team football for him. And the wages that he would want with his talent. The only thing stopping him coming is England and he loves Germany.
Cmon. Bayerns ex president has met Wirtz parents in the Wirtz family home. The kids family clearly have a preference for him to remain in Germany. There is even talk Wirtz will extend his contract at Leverkusen for another year from 2027 to 2028, but it would include a release clause that isn't astronomical from 2026 onwards. Everything about this just screams he isn't leaving Germany.

Thats my guess too. He stays at Leverkusen for anoher year then gives himself more flexaiblity to choose from Madrid or Bayern.

Very hard to compete with cosmopolitan & cultured cities like Munich and Madrid.
You're very poor at the wumming game, far too transparent.

3/10.

Must do better, or better still, fuck off.

Somewhere deep down, I’m still traumatized by Leroy. As much as I’d absolutely love to get him, I can’t shake the fear that in three years — right as he hits his prime — he’ll start flirting with Bayern and push for a return to Germany, especially once Pep’s gone (which is happening sooner rather than later).

The thought of dealing with that circus all over again would be unbearable.
You emotional resilience needs work.

do you ever get tired of talking nonsense because everyone here is tired of your bullshit, its tedious and boring just like your teams football

Talks apparently between Madrid and Arse-anal over Saliba. He must be off.

If football were that simple Declan rice would be at city
Sometimes you pick the team that you can best fit into and progress yourself

No chance he stays at Leverkusen
He may pick Bayern or Madrid over city but if we go all in they have to buy him this summer to stop us

The same bollocks that was spouted when Sergio signed "he'll be off to Spain in a few years"

Same for Silva "Surely Barca will go for him and he'll be off"

De Bruyne too "he'll stay in the Bundesliga, the best players there just go to Bayern"

Even Pep, we had it on here how England and Manchester literally wasn't cultured enough for him to stay

All of whom joined and stayed at this club for majority of their careers

Haaland will be off to Madrid too... After his 9 year contract ends now..

Maybe this club is just, possibly, a great club.

Now fuck off back into your technical area.

He can fuck off and join the rest of them, we nearly won the league again ..

I think the last first line player to force his way out of City was Tevez. Leroy was actually basically being used as a squad player by the time he was planning on going to Bayern, same as Torres, Palmer, Milner etc.
Doubtless a first rank player will want to leave again but I don't think we should fret about it when recruiting. Haaland was only looking at City as a staging post for Madrid according to many.

I’m honestly shocked that they have the money to pull off a £140m deal. It doesn’t even make sense — they’re literally playing in Germany. Surely that screams corruption, because there’s no way they have money like that.

I like this very much

Munich always had money they just never spent it that’s nothing new

I never get excited about rumours, worldwide there aren’t many players under 26 that seem much better than what we have. Obviously there will be newcomers and departures, and City have tended to be pretty good in recent years.

Last time I checked, they played in an irrelevant farmers league — so I highly doubt they’ve got the kind of money you’re claiming, especially to pull off the third-highest transfer fee of all time.
