FOCs wearing coats in hot weather

Funny thing is you see the locals doing similar in Tenerife in the winter. It is still in the middle twenties in the daytime and we are all sweating in shorts and flip flops but they have trousers and jumpers/coats on.

Please can some of the elderly on here clear this up for me, why do old folk always go out dressed like they're about to attempt a winter ascent of K2 when it's 80% humidity and 26 degrees outside?

Just been to get a coffee and literally every old biddy I've seen has been wrapped up in a massive coat, how they don't all pass out I'll never know!
Blood thinners. A lot of FOCs are on them to reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack.

Reminds me of a lad at school who used to wear his uniform to bed so he could sleep in longer. Mental

We had one of them at our school. Lived bang over the road, reckoned he could get up at 8:30 and be in registration for 8:40.
