Foden back in training / on the plane to Munich

Once you've had an appendectomy, you will probably recover pretty quickly. It feels good to get a bad appendix out. Most patients leave the hospital 1 to 2 days after surgery. The good news is that you'll be able to go back to all those normal activities within 2 to 4 weeks.
All fine and dandy for an office worker - what about a professional athlete?

Bummer. Bad timing when he was playing so good. Oh well...so be it. Hope he gets well quickly and recovers for the season finale. A brilliant player on his day. Don't know why the Foden player performance thread is closed for further replies?
Anyhow we have Grealish, Mahrez, Bernardo and Palmer for the wide positions and if they play as they can we will not be short of bodies. Gutted for Phil though for what will be huge games versus Bayern, Livarpool, Sheffield Utd etc. Anyone know the recovery period. He'll be stitched up so that'll be 2 weeks surely...3 or 4 weeks total I presume?

Fucking waistcoats fault .
Putting him on for 10 minutes the useless twat!
I'm not sure if the 2 things are related...can appendicitis come on through being miffed at your boss for lack of faith. I agree though it was a terrible piece of management. Saka, Grealish, or any midfielder/forward could have made way.
We'll just have to give Phil a massive roar of approval when he next gets on the pitch.

Heard someone on 5Live say Foden's chances of being a starter for England have been hindered because he's only ever played for Guardiola! He's only used to playing one way!

Seriously do they listen to themselves?????
Yeah playing regularly for one of the greatest managers ever has hampered his England career.

If only Pep was more like Southgate?????????????????

A big miss over what is a crucial period. He's been bang on form and his movement off the ball makes him so effective, it's something Grealish and Mahrez don't really do. Hopefully he's back sooner rather than later and we manage to get through, but it's a big loss in my opinion. Alvarez is the only player who would make similar runs from a wide position but it's whether the rest of his game is worth playing him in that position when he's so effective centrally.

Maybe if Middlesbrough get promoted we can send Foden there on loan next year so he can get involved in their relegation season.

Would improve his empathy with Southgate no end.

I had a hernia operation about ten years ago, had the full incision in my groin area and it took me weeks to go back to work. I couldn’t walk for a week. Yet some people return back to work within a week of a hernia operation. People react differently from operations, so I don’t think there’s any point of predicting when Phils going to be back.

I know a guy who had a hernia op and was riding his bike across Dartmoor the next day.
However, he was a Royal Marine Mountain Leader and a bit fucking tapped.
