Food & Drink Prices - Next Season

Re: Food & Drink Prices

High prices I can begrudgingly live with.
Its the crap food and even crappier service that does my head in!
I couldn't get a pint at half time at the Norwich game because ' the barrell needed changing' FFS! 47,000 people in the stadium and the half time rush for a pint takes them by surprise! Just who is running our catering?

They can't even boil water - genuinely! I've stopped having a Bovril when I get to get to the game because the water is luke warm at best.

Will the prices go up due to Jamie Oliver? Well he isin't doing it for nothing his he?You bet they will go up!

It won't affect me in the slightest because I never eat or drink inside football grounds.

What about outside at City Square?

Nope. If I feel the need to stuff my face or have a beer I'll do all of that before I get anywhere near the stadium - any stadium that is. I've always found that the closer to a ground you get the bigger the rip off. Wembley have never got a penny out of me for any of their stadium catering for a start.

£4.20 for a pint of costs at the magic weekend, hope this is not a sign of things to come

Not only that my missus always goes to magic weekend and last year they wanted £4.00 for a pint on Saturday then put it up to £4.50 on Sunday!!
She shit when I told her it was £3.40 at city matches!
Taking the piss really.
Hope its not what we will get next season or they can stick it, organised abstinence for one home game and price would soon go down.

Re: Food & Drink Prices

A little ditty to Cigarettes and alcohol/Oasis...

To MCFC catering dept...

Is it my imagination, Or have I finally found a pie worth queuing for for?

Hunger pangs, caused my attraction ,but all I found was burnt pies and flat alcohol

It seems i queued for a lifetime, to spend six quid on pie n' pint halftime

Stale beer was still in the pipeline, I nearly blew my top, how can they let this happen?

Wasn't worth the aggravation, to find my hotdog came without the onions that i was asking for

Its a crazy situation, but all I need is half time pie and alcohol

Seems like i queued for a lifetime, to spend three quid on a burnt pie

You might as well do the white wine

Cos when beer comes on tap

Beware that its a crap un!

Re: Food & Drink Prices

Agree quite like city square, catering in the stadium is poor though, at Norwich game they had no food, before the game. I took my 4 yr old to his 1st game and thought no problem feed him at half time, bearing in mind it was 5 o clock he had a right to be hungry.
Thanks City he was going mad cos there was no food anywhere managed to find a chocolate bar after walking all round the stadium.
Dropped the ball there city, cheers, no excuse for all food outlets being empty even before kick off.
rant over.

At the time I thought the same, but was told that as it was the last game of the season and the catering for the summer events is done by somebody else, added to not having the contract for next season all the old stock was used up and not replaced. As somebody involved in catering it kind of makes business sense, for the caterers to sell out rather than be disposing of unused food.
