Food & Drink Prices - Next Season

The Price, quality of service and food make me cringe,
there seems to be a lot of fans with the same grievance.
would it not be worth staging some kind of protest via the clubs tweet or other social network they use. maybe even flood every social inlet they use to try and get the message across.
Ive tried writing emails myself, but im convinced they just go straight to the delete box.

maybe try and hit them where it really hurts and organise a "no eat at the stadium" protest for 2 or 3 games. It would be amusing to see all catering stands void of us mugs whilst the half wits behind the counters stand there picking thier noses or comparing the love bites on thier necks... trying not to be too offensive but these people would'nt even get employed by mac donalds.

Would be better off having macdonalds and subway inside the ground. So long as the price was the same as outside. Be better than the shite burgers and stuff they sell now. Think we only eaten once in the ground that was for the stupid 6 o'clock El kick off. Or what ever time it was. Home from work no time to eat. What a waste of time and money that was.

Very strange.

The people who are compelled to buy overpriced shite are then compelled

to cry about it on the interweb.

Very strange, but compelling.

I've done this since Maine Road, but too many people continue to pay ever increasing prices for poor quality food (and drink).

Bonny's cafe down the road provides great food at normal prices, the Chinese behind the Mitchell is one of the best for Chinese I've tried in Manchester, and you can't pay over £5 per meal there and you get quality and quantity.

Anyone who is willing to buy at City's prices is ripping themselves off, far better (asda for another instance) is available.

Will they rise from next season under Jamie Oliver and the Yankee catering co.??

Any ideas on the quality of food?

Will the service improve?

Thoughts...

Let's hope so, I find the catering at city is a total shambles from start to finish.
If I retire anytime soon I'm going to offer to run that department at city free of charge. It is a complete and utter disaster. Food is OK ish, prices are where football has been heading for a while but the organisation and general running of the operation is pure amateur.

One little incident on the last game v Norwich. Wife wants food so I pop down to the concourse, its around ten mins before half time, I hate missing the game but as we all know once half time arrives you can't get served ( again badly run)so I legged it down sharpish. there was NOTHING to buy, nothing on the shelves. I hear them talking behind the counter that some chips were ready, that'll do I'll have chips and curry. When I asked for a fork they said they'd "ran out sorry". Ran out? I'm possibly the first half time customer how could they "run out"? If they knew they'd ran out why not restock whilst the game was on? Are we saying there's no plastic forks in the stadium? How do they expect a customer to eat chips and more so curry, with their fingers? In the end I found a disgarded One nearby and asked them to wash it for me.god knows how other customers went on at the half time rush. Not that there was anything to buy.

Amatures.

How on earth we are going to meet the financial targets set I'll never know.

I used to work at City in the catering about 5 years ago, but there's still the same problems. Customer service is shit because the staff are all from an agency that gives them one or two days of work a week. No one gives a shit, you're being served by a student that doesn't give a shit about their job because there's loads of other football grounds to work at (This wasn't my attitude, I'm glad for work) for minimum wage. Working at the kiosks isn't a career, and the sheer amount of shit you get from fans, rightly or wrongly, makes you not want to help anyone.

The way to remedy this is by complaining to the company they work for, because it's not City's problem. If someone's shit, ask for their company name and send the company an email or letter! City cannot do anything about the quality of the staff because they're temporary staff.

Mind you, food and drink will be miles better if Jamie Oliver is doing it. I've worked a fair few shifts on their boats in London, and the food is absolutely fantastic.

When you add up the 3 factors of extortionate prices, piss-poor quality and shite service, I think anyone who's still using this facility needs to ask themself why. If you're daft enough to put up with those 3 factors, then don't complain about it. Only this !

agreed, sometimes though needs must, or musn't as it was in my case.

I sometimes eat in the stadium before the game - much prefer it to the vans outside.

Never attempt it at half time, but pre-game I've not found any problems. Food is surprisingly good and there are almost always staff waiting to serve you at that time...
