Tripe is mainly eaten by FOCs. Never been so cruel as to feed my kids tripe like my mum forced fed me with it.

Tripe,milk and onions my mum used to do this for my dad,whenever I came home from school and walked into the house the bloody smell of it was putrid,never tried it my dad loved it though..

Conny onny we used to call it on the ships we only got fresh milk in port and it lasted five minutes. We used to bash Conny onny down with water for our cornflakes, it was vile looking back I remember long life milk coming along it was a game changer for us onboard. Talking of milk we used to have sterilised milk until we got a fridge at home, perhaps it lasted longer?

One of my neighbours still has sterilised milk, I assume it’s a health thing

Sterra milk! Urgh! We never got it but when i had a brew at friends that used it, it was fcking awful

Yeh stera was rank. If we were nicking milk off doorsteps, no one ever took the stera!!

Nobody drank it, well never more than once, they just used it in tea and coffee. It was kept in the pantry. When we got a fridge and bought fresh milk it was heaven

Did anyone ever claim to like Spam Fritters ? They were absolutely awful. I can only imagine what present day kids would make of them.

Faggots - can’t see those going down well either. Meatballs made with offal and the most non PC name you can find.

It was all we knew growing up as fresh milk went off too quickly, although we got our 1/3rd of a pint at school unli Thatcher the milk snatcher stopped it.
