Can’t say I understand the true ramifications of this, but can only assume that anything that decreases the influence the cartel have can surely only be a good thing?
Well the independent regulator idea came following a fan-lead review. As you (and me) support City I understand why you would think a no restraint approach is the way to go, but the reality is that a lot of clubs have incompetent owners that have the power to erase their club from history in just a few short seasons. Look no further than Bury for one example. If you ask all supporters through the leagues do you want to go back to no restraints on owners and how they run there clubs to how they were run for 120 years! Wonder how many fans would say yes or have they been brainwashed that much that they'd say no!

Based on the published responsibilities of a new regulator how will it change the internal governance of the PL ?Well City were all for a new regulator. And hopefully this ends the inference from the red tops
Based on what is out there I don’t think the owners of Bury would have failed any enhanced fit and proper test but almost certainty would have failed to be granted a licence to play on. What would have happened to them. ?Well the independent regulator idea came following a fan-lead review. Like Altrincham? Will the independent regulators have to declare which team they support, like referees have to? :)
