Football is fixed blog

There has been substantial proof offered, just not to you, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist though.
Similarly two or three disallowed goals, well we certainly got those against Liverpool. But disallowed goals are far too obvious, if I was fixing a game I’d be much more subtle than that.

So who to? And why has nothing been done about it?

The rugby model is there tried and tested and guess what it WORKS! No excuse not to use it.

Sadly as a Bradford Bulls fan I can categorically state that you can still get unbelievable decisions by a video ref even when everyone in the ground can see the video ref is wrong. Rugby League is even more bent than football.

100% accuracy is an illusion as long as human subjectivity is involved.IMO we need to change the rules of the game eg for offside and determining the intent of a player so far as fouls & penalties are concerned.

Until officials are held to account and var will go some way to helping that then the same bullshit is going to keep happening and if var can get it right 99% of the time it's got to be an improvement on the shit we have to witness at the moment.

On-field Rugby league reffing is often very poor. Overall, things have got better with a reworking of the video ref procedure. I have the impression that there is occasionally an odd obstruction decision which looks marginal. Generally these seem to favour WIgan/Leeds (the two richest clubs), although my team St Helens get the odd one as well.

It's just consistently weak though, rather than the on-field ref making wrong decisions.

Totally agree with you on the need for massive improvement , which is why City voted for VAR & the usual suspects didn’t.

As Bradford Bulls fans we are all too familiar with decisions consistently and incorrectly going the way of Leeds, Wigan and Saints in particular. Enjoy the bias in favour of your team while you can ha ha ! If only City got half as much bias in our favour we would be unbeatable.
