Football Leaks/Der Spiegel articles

I think that could definitely apply to Sancho’s contract with City. However Dortmund and City have an agreement that ensured City released Sancho’s registration. I would have thought the terms of that agreement, which are not based on the terms of the original contract between Sancho and City, instead based on the terms around the transfer of registration are enforceable.
But Dortmund in that scenario may have purchased something from City, that City didn't legally own. Clubs have been forced to release youth player registrations before afaik.

Surely there must be confusion within the rules as well then as the FA have been fined? Said it a few pages back that 2-3 times is piss taking but Chelsea have apparently done it 29 times?! And them registrations have been approved by the FA over here?

Not sure it’ll be interpreted like that. The agent payment may be ruled illegal - if the accusation is true. But that doesn’t make either the contract to sign him from Watford or to sell him to Dortmund - illegal. Even if we didn’t legally own Sancho - his contract with Dortmund won’t be illegal - just any payments to us would need to be returned.

I do wish that as a club we would be more robust to deal with this shit, the silence is deafening at times.
We should also start to ban these journos who are happy to eat our sandwiches and enjoy wonderful hospitality yet are more than happy to put the dagger into us at any opportunity. BBC seem to be one of the worst.
I'm fed up at the constant hatchet job on the club I love, it's disgraceful.
Travelling into Wembley on the train we were chatting to a proper Chelsea fan home/away lad aged 19. He maintained our press/media/pr team are brilliant.....we didn't agree on that!!!!

...So as I understand it we paid 'Emeka Obasi' £200,000 for 'scouting services' . Der Spiegel are saying its directly linked to us signing Sancho, a sweetener if you like. I don't know what the finer details of the rules are other than a player under the age of 16 can't have an agent.

How can FIFA link the payment directly to the Sancho deal if we say we paid Emeka Obasi for scouting services?

How can FIFA say beyond doubt that Emeka Obasi was representing Sancho officialy? It all seems like a lot of conjecture to me?

We are also alleged to have written to Sancho's parents declaring what we were prepared to pay him for his first professional contract, again I have no idea what the issue is here if its a proposed deal after he's 16?

Well the FA have launched an investigation. So we'll see what happens.
