Made it into the League Cup final having defeated Arsenal in the semis! Still pissed with the board.

Never seen this before!
Had this since day 1 but got bored very quickly buying up all of Europe so i have started again a few weeks ago sticking to bringing through players through the academy and only allowing 1 big signing if needed.
My squad is,

To see my best players click above, most of them bought cheaply around 16-17 and then loaned, trained etc
+ 2 World Cups with England, 1 EURO with Belgium.
I am going to resign soon and take over a League 2 team as its getting a little boring.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck! 5 games to go, needed to win all 5 to guarantee promotion. Probably 4 wins or 3 wins and 2 draws would have done it. Won the first one against promotion rivals Forest, then went and drew the next two. No problem, two wins would still guarantee promotion. My two best strikers (Bakambu and Paterson) both get injured, I only play 1 up-front so this is even more of a problem. Lost my last 2 games. Forest also lost the plot and now I've got them in the play-offs. Bakambu and Paterson will both miss the play-off semi's but Bakambu may just about make the final if we get there.
EDIT - It gets worse. I have Bakambu, Boyata and Rafael Toloi on loan from City and I've just had a message saying that their loans will end a couple of days after the first leg of the play off semi-finals. They were season long loans, the season isn't fucking over yet!

Somehow managed to beat Forest in the semi-final. Won the first leg 2-0. Then in the second leg, conceded in about the 5th minute and though, FFS here we go, but managed to hold on and we now play Swansea in the final. Fairly confident about winning this as we beat them in both league games, however we are basically playing without a striker as Steven Thompson is fucking useless. He missed so many chances in the semi's it was unreal.

Boom! Finally finished my first season with Burnley. Champions on goal difference to Swansea. Thought they'd started to bottle it but victory in my final four league games ensured success. Disappointing in the cups though. Wolves beat me in the 3rd round of the league cup and Liverpool knocked me out of the FA Cup in R5.
