Football Manager 2011

Well iv just finished my 1st season in charge of Villareal and its been an eventful one to say the least.

At one point just after the half way point i had injuries to 11 1st team regulars and couldnt only field 2 substitutes for a couple of games but i pulled through and we ended up finishing in a very respectable 4th just infront of Espanyol and about 8 points off Athletico Madrid, Real in 2nd and Barca champions.

I bought that Babacar and played him in the 'B' team because i didnt think he was ready but because of such bad injuries i brought him in and by god did he make an impact, he scored 10 in 10 and they werent needless goals they were last minutes winners on a few occasions.

I think im going to send Guidetti out on loan for a season, play Lukaku and Babacar up top together and i will start to bring through Ibrahim in the center by giving him some games infront of Senna. Im looking to bring in a LW and that Victor Ruiz from Espanyol and that could be me done for the summer signings.

Altogether a decent 1st season and hopefully i can hit 3rd spot next year and progress even more!
 
played 11, won 10, drawn 1 in my 2nd season as City boss. 8 points clear of Chelsea but they have a game in hand. Just beat Spurs 3-0 with a hattrick by Torres.

In all comps Sneijder has 11 goals in 14 games including I think 2 hattricks, he's scored so many sensational goals it's untrue. Torres has 7 in 12, Tevez 7 in 14 but he has 13 assists. Dzeko 4 in 8, Balotelli 1 in 11, mostly subs though.

In the Champions League beat Real 4-3 at the Bernabeu, beat Napoli 3-0 and St. Etienne 3-0 and 4-1 to qualify, have Madrid home next but have Chiellini suspended for a red card, also have Kompany suspended for my next league game v Stoke away so will have to shuffle the pack.

In the Carling Cup played kids as you've seen and knocked out Birmingham 4-2 at home and Hull 4-1 away with a Vladimir Weiss hattrick. Have West Ham at home in the quarters.
 
Got addicted to the game when it game it jsut doesnt feel the same as the 09 version i dunno why but this forum has inspired me from tomoz ill be going back on it. O ye how do you make the screen siza half the size i forgot???

In the championship just about to start the new season.

My strongest 11 is currently:

......................Speroni....................
Onuaha.....Wheater....Ridgewell....S,Jordan...
..................G fernandes.............
Weiss.......Shneiderlin...........Ephraim.....
............Rochina........Cabanas.......

Top goalscorer is Ruben Rochina, Bought him from Barcelona B for 16k. Bargain!! and my best player. Nurtured him into a right little goal machine and he is still very young. I am currently doing the same with another young spanish lad, Ruben Ramos.

Any tips would be appreciated....I need a few decent players either on the cheap/free agents from abroad preferably, I need a new goalkeeper as julian speroni is ageing, a decent centre back, and another attacking centre midfielder.
I have no depth in my squad at the moment, players like andy bishop etc on the bench.
 
Had a good pre-season the board once again gave me fuck all to spend £9m for a title challenge...

Managed to bring in a brilliant regen striker paying on the drip, got a top right back for free, signed a DM whose awesome at passing as well as the usual for £1.5m from spurs then sold 4 players to raise funds, managed to get more than their value for all of them and I've brought in a really good CB (Breno). Beat Benfica 4-0 on aggregate in my CL qualifier so I'm through to the group stages. Feeling optimistic for the season ahead!
 
I want this game so badly but my laptop broke so need a new one and am skint :( i want to start a game unemployed and gradually working my way upto the epl to manage my beloved city by 2024 i reckon about 5/6 teams on the way, does anyone else like to start unemployed and start somewhere random like poland or sweden?

There was a FM challenge on here on one of the old games, starting unemployed with no playing experience with loads of leagues playable, managing in South Africa and Indonesia with a £0p/w week wage budget is hard ;)

make use of the 4 loans your allowed. Especially since you don't have to pay wages or any fee.
