Football Manager 2012 - Official Thread - Demo Out Now

Where to go after failing in the South African First Division?

So my six month long African adventure is officially over and now I have to scrap and fight on another continent to claw back my reputation.

As the club has no staff at all and about seven players, the work starts now. But I won't forget you, United FC, I will be back to claim what is rightfully mine!

This manager sums up how I have been doing the last few games and how my team are playing...

Sod it, pentagon challenge it is.

Africa - South Africa
Asia - South Korea, Australia, China
Europe - Denmark, Russia, Portugal
North America - Mexico, USA
South America - Brazil, Argentina, Colombia

That was quick, currently managing New England Revolution who are 7th in the table. Sounds fantastic right? They're joint bottom on points.

I don't believe it. My main main Ndlela comes back from injury finally, and I'm a few points off of 2nd after a big 5-0 win, then this happens.

By Thor's Hammer, I will avenge this!

hahahahaha.

Lol. Footy Manager is a right harsh bastard sometimes, Got Aldershot into the Championship and was battling relegation, safe by a point come end of season somehow, change of chairman following takeover... Previous board said I was untouchable increasing clubs stature, and winning the JPT and League 1 last year...

New chairman sacks me saying club is underachieving.

The price of success. Cunts.
Indeed it is. I did the unknown manager challenge, won the team over, won the CL, and the European Super Cup, but that weasel Silva, quarter way into my second season decides he doesn't have any faith and won't put a shift in. Miserable performances. They sacked me because of Silva. Took a vacation and went off to Nottingham Forest where they respected winning ways and had no prima donnas.

Someday, I'll air my grievances with Willem II.

So..7 games into the new season in the lowly Norwegian Second Division and things are looking up. Well, not so much looking up more being on a ridiculously good run of form.
The Chairman gave me pretty good wage budget and asked for midtable spots, but we didn't have any players or staff. I have my assistant and that's all but I've brought in 8 players.

Due to this, I'm expecting that collapse that you get towards the backend of the season but if I can keep my job here for next season, I'm on to a winner. I'm really excited about this club, I can see us jumping through the leagues which will hugely help my reputation and get me back into South African football.

I've stuck to my 4-4-1-1 but as Norway's Second Division has better players available (despite being semi-pro) than South Africa and it seems to be working well. How well? Check the goal difference:

Ola, Qvist and especially Svenning has been epic signings apart from a few early hiccups in friendlies. Early on when I brought them in, I forget my roots. I forget who I was and tried to be Norway's Barca. Then I remembered who I really was.

Twat it to the big man and go all out attack.

As some time had passed whilst I was on an enforced break due to the muppetry of United FC, I thought I would drop in to my old stomping grounds for a visit to see how they are getting on.
