i've found forums and friends down the pub to be a far far richer source of decent football opinion and analysis than the TV/media has offered for years. cant even read/watch/listen to footy journalism anymore.

MOTD is the best pundit to work for. You get about two minutes to speak, use the word "contact" "good finishing" "terrible defending" "pressing" and look half clever then get paid 500k a year for it

I agree, but ex players apart I think everyone has a right to know which team a so called pundit or commentator supports I remember the case of the odious Alan Green who denied he was a Liverpool fan yet when he was commentating on a Liverpool game it was like listening to that Jimmy Liddal spoof, it took a long campaign by fans from lots of clubs to get him off the air and he went missing for a while

Pundits aren't pundits any more in as much they seem to big up the teams they would like to do well as opposed to big up the teams based on fact that will do well. Danny Mills is not an expert he's a total ****.

Roberto Martinez was on the Monday night football the other day, and his knowledge and insight into the game was great, i enjoy watching gary Neville as well
