but whats happening now is people with the most money are getting tickets. it doesnt seem to matter about points anymore, which makes a mockery of the whole system. do you honestly think its fair that people who clearly aren't city fans, (cases of people in there other teams tops) get tickets before actual fans ?
i have no idea why you are mentioning swales or franny lee, what has that got to do with this discussion ?. the club is in a good place now, but you dont have to bend over and accept everything the club do or think its a good idea. hundreds of away tickets being given to tourists and non city fans is not a good idea.
This is true.....they were always COMP tickets being sold by the LADS on the forecourtspeople with money will always come first at any football club its the way football is right now
i quoted swales and franny and fans was not happy back then with tickets for the new parts of the ground and new corporate boxes at maine road even back then on many away days i went on i seen ticket for big games was going to touts and had complimentary on them and touts was openly selling them they was coming from the club to the market
today is no different and like i say every other club are doing it so manchester city are just no better why should anybody feel they are being done over you don't own any rights to away tickets only the club can control them and if there is a market the club will cash in
Until you can't get a ticketthey go to the fans , the players and our partners. all people who contribute to the coffers in one way or another. what they do with their tickets and what they charge (if anything) is entirely up to them. if we want to buy players like we now have we best get used to it. that's football these days.

What about the young guys , what we used to call our future regulars, can't get a ticket because City have creamed em off for tourists from China, Middle East , anywhere ? Everything we used to despise in a nutshell , it's not the City I knew & it's not the City I want to know , trophies or not.The principle is far mor important .it is what it is, can't see me or any of the older guys missing out but if we do we do. its now a juggernaut and it aint for stopping.
lets pick a sponsor. call it de niro's pizza shop chain. mr D will ask for and get say 30 tickets. it will offer them to friends and family and clients, they never have been near a game let alone be city fans but that's irrelevant we took mr D's money in the first place so we have little or no say. on his tickets will say things like "no colours" but either way they will not be blues. they will be in our end at times but once again if sponsor is putting miillions in to the club he'll get his tickets, and rightly so.
times that by 10 sponsors and our stand will be full of "tourists".
football and in particular city has moved on.

I agree with you Bill and for home games we can accommodate them, but for away games when tickets are already limited the distribution to sponsors should also be very limited. I'm not saying completely withheld but very limited.
