Football Tourists

Now this is one tourist that nobody could object to:

"Time for a feel good story of the day.

A US teenager who credits Leicester City's title win with helping him to beat leukaemia will watch them in person for the first time later.

Travis Hackett, 13, from San Diego, says the Foxes' amazing feat helped him deal with his gruelling treatment.

"I just loved how they made that great escape and then came back and surprised everyone the next year, beating all the big teams and winning the title. It was amazing.

"It was my inspiration to keep on going through all my treatment and they just helped me amazingly.
""

If you look on Utube there is a video of him being told by (I think) Ellen De Generes that he is going to the match tonight with his Dad. I definitely got something in my eye watching the video.

Two Korean chaps next to me yesterday > Just before kick off he asked who I was supporting?
Four Sherman Tanks > parents with 2 kids.
Dad was talking to Manchester lad at half time and Dad said tickets bought as day out and son supported the other Nanchester team...WTF
Last time I went to the Emirates there were Arsenal fans in the away end! City will give tickets to any **** happy enough to pay for them! Loyalty Points mean fuck all

A lot of talk about the north stand development and a new end for city fans to create atmosphere, its not 100% at all but sounds like it is favoured by a lot from club & fans. But it wont take off unless singing fans back it up and move from where they have been for the last 8 or 10 years.

For now we need to group heavily in numbers in 115 area, even if it means 116 when we run out of availability in 114/115. Once we get the details of free seats available for season cards we need to snap them up. There are some great city fans in 110 area that like a sing song, come over and lets group up.

We also need to take better advantage of CL and cup games like Monaco. We got a group of 50 off the club and just managed to round up troops, we really need it to be 150 or 200 to make a noise that travels. The club will be willing to back this and give us the chance with more tickets bunched up, they have been great giving us this opportunity. Next season we will ask the club for 100 rather than 50 then take it from there to get more. But it needs backing up and for singers all over to move for the cup games if they haven't already with season cards. It cant just happen, needs fan movement. Once this builds up and in a couple of seasons north stand is developed we then migrate across.

They were there again in numbers last night. A large group in the top tier of our end, no reaction at all when either team scored.
Weren't they just
A group of 5 Asian lads without colours entering the ground with us, one got escorted out of the line p by the stewards and yet was still on the concourse a few seconds after us. One lad there with his half and half scarf and his Chelsea flag in hand, YCNMIU. Was politely shown the way to safety by a couple of stewards.
A young American couple stood with us on the concourse before kick off.
And sat right behind me were a couple of Spanish speaking fellas.

It really is shocking how many you see, particularly at the London away games who clearly have never been to a city game before in their life. Added to the above there were four French people behind me who didn't cheer the goal and two Spanish guys in front at half time with Barcelona scarfs taking pictures

Spanish, French, Chinese, Americans, Canadians - all in evidence last night. As stated previously, none of these people have any previous purchase history, don't support City, yet are sat in the away end when it has supposedly sold out with points criteria still in place. It really is a bizarre scenario when it comes to Arsenal and Chelsea away nowadays. As previously stated, City are sent the tickets to distribute amongst our fans, yet appear to be giving them to 3rd party sites??

They need to start answering serious questions about this. But they won't.

I know someone who booked hotel and travel for the game but the tickets sold out before it got to his points.
Then they went back on sale a week later, after he had cancelled the hotel.

Why did they go back on sale a week after selling out?

Yet there were plenty of 'newbies' there last night, as I said, one even had a Chelsea flag in his hand.

It's either happening with the club's active connivance, in which case they're shafting ordinary fans for the sake of a few hundred quid, or it's not, in which case they need to be investigating by tracing tickets back to whoever is selling them. As it's happening with increasing regularity, I suspect it's the former.
