Footballers Collapsing/Becoming ill

well no, because 2 of the othe 3 collapsed and the other became ill and needed immediate medical attention with a heart issue that suddenly flared up after passing medical after medical and him being pretty much fine his whole career, so why now is a pertinent question given the other cases.

Being unvaccinated answers 1 word of a paragraph. People wilfully misrepresenting what the OP is asking are missing the point in damaging fashion.
You can't ask questions on science anymore pal, science was placed in a dumpster in November 2019 and replaced with an unquestionable official narrative.

What's the percentage of footballers collapsing compared to the general population from the same age group?

The medical profession don't really know what causes a sudden cardiac arrest. There is a common misconception that it is definately linked to heart defects, but it is not mostly the case. SCA's are an 'electrical' problem, where as heart attacks are ' plumbing' issues.
SCA's can be infections or nerve problems, so best not to lump them all together. I was fit, normal blood pressure, cholestrol and BP ( was told my heart was strong after tests 6 weeks before) until just before. I got lucky. I get to see great football still. There has been an increase in defib units, but more are needed and a national database, easily accessable, of where they are.
There is lots of research (all on Google) which shows a big increase in heart problems in younger people but it pre-dates the Covid period. Apparently in the US one in five heart attack victims are under 40. That seems pretty shocking. The experts don't really know what has caused it. Theories include lifestyle issues like diet and obesity (not relevant to athletes) and recreational drug use (perhaps prescription, performance enhancing, etc etc).
Heart problems in fit young people are not as rare as you might think. It's not clear if these sort of sporting incidents happen all the time and are just getting reported more to feed to Covid media frenzy. Personally I think it is worthy of legitimate investigation which presumably is already happening.

It's a good question. The British Heart Foundation figure for the UK is 160,000 deaths a year (460 per day) but I don't know the age breakdown. Like everyone I have always assumed most of the people dying from heart conditions were elderly but I know from my own family experience that plenty of younger (and fit) people are affected. The figures would be worth digging out.

Exhaustion. The amount of training and cardio these footballers do is ridiculous look at the Christmas period,in the Tottenham documentary their medical department said there was over 70 injuries across the premier league in the Christmas period alone. No wonder they are collapsing.

Also there’s the idea of PEDs which could be done in the off season and then test clean during the season.

When the Alzheimer's scandal hit football I asked myself the same question, the relevant statistic is that 7.1% of the population over the age of 65 are diagnosed as having Alzheimer's.

I am a great supporter of anything to do with this shit condition and support it in general mainly because I have people close to me who have died in this almost soulless way, but the percentage of ex footballers getting this condition aren't above the national average (Well I don't think they are).

That being said it's great that it raises the awareness.

There is a Sudden Cardiac Arrest charity and facebook page where people/survivors post their experiences/ask for advice. There was one the otherday of a young woman having one 24 hours after giving birth. There are others that collapse running in their mid twenties. The apparent increase in young fit footballers is concerning and should be looked at to help the wider population. Anyway - I'll stop now!!!

FYI - the survival rate of a SCA outside hospital are about 8% and not a lot better for in-hospital cases.
