For those of you deluding yourselves

Interestingly Jose's Chelsea were playing very similarly at this stage of his first season, if I remember they even lost to us, fans were on his back as they believed he hadn't improved the team in the first ten games.

History tells us those fans were impatient imbeciles

Our current form is abysmal there is only one other team in the Premiership without a win in the last five matches and that is Wolves. There are also only three teams who have gathered less points in the same period Bolton, Birmingham & Wolves.

I know we have the players now to really make an impact but so far I see no signs of it happening. The good teams take control of games and control the midfield we on the other hand give the ball back to the opposition far too quickly this of cause gives added pressure to a defence that frankly stinks.

I know knee jerk reactions never help but how much longer will our owner be prepared to allow the current team management to preside over the shambles we have witnessed over the last four matches I am not including the Villa game as a point was not a bad result.

The current situation would have been a lot worse if Fulham had taken the two easy chances they squandered and if Birmingham had converted their penalty, and don't get me going on the Burnley match where we allowed a team who had previously only managed two goals in five away matches (both against Blackburn) to score three times - pathetic is the only word that springs to mind.

Just what do we practice in training it certainly isn't defending or team work.

'Pathetic' indeed.

It's probably somewhere between the two to be fair. Personally I don't think Hughes will do great things with us ultimately, however, we are on the tails of the top 4 with a game in hand, not losing and by no means in any trouble.

The weight of expectation is frankly ridiculous. We may have spent 200 million quid but realistically we haven't got 200 million pounds of player.

You could buy J Lloyd Samuel for £200 million but it wouldn't mean you'd win the fkn title. Realistically we added 40-50 quids worth of talent to a below average Prem side. We are in a world where Wayne Bridge commands 100k a week for fcks sake.

That's not Hughes fault and it's largely what the money we needed to spend to guarantee a certain standard in a short period of time.

Of course we should be looking to beat Burnley, Fulham or anybody at home. But United would have gone to Burnley expecting to win because they are obviously a much better side. If Lescott keeps his hands down or Bridge doesn't turn his back we have three points.

We were never cruising against Fulham, we got the second and they hit back right away and snatched all the momentum.
If anything that is our problem, our concentration seems to wander in the parts of games where we are not able to flood forward.

But seriously...who do you want in charge..Frank Clarke?

City were there 1st and only loss in 1st 11 games.

P 11 - W 8 - D 2 - L 1

But that's no excuse is it Prodigal Son? At the end of the day we shouldn't be shrugging our shoulders and settling for the result.

If we are serious about the top four or the top six then we cannot throw away leads at home of all places. Adebayor said we need to make our home form a fortress and to win more or less every game there. He was right on the money with that comment.

We are in a position where we no longer should be settling for second best. I am not expecting instant success but I think the expectation for them to get school boy standard defending right should be a formality. They're letting the team down and halting the clubs progress because of this.

Yes we need time to gel, yes we have spent a lot of money on players who need to develop an understanding (none more so than the defence) but at the end of the day he has bought players in with premier league experience so it shouldn't be as hard as a bunch of imports from foriegn leagues trying to gel and get to know the league pace / physical nature.

Hughes was right when he said we're doing okay - it's not a disaster but we're not tearing up trees either. The most dissapointing aspect is that we haven't took advantage of other sides slump and got the victory when we could be quite a few points ahead and taking a controlling position of fourth place. It feels like we're throwing away these big opportunities.

History will tell us that you probable made up that story. Jose has always been immensely popular with Chelsea supporters from day 1.

Nothing like shutting somebody up with real stats.

mentioning Jose and Hughes in the same breath is ridiculous. Hughes has never won anything, and never shown he has the talent to be a top boss.

Jose has the champions league and uefa cup winners medals when he arrived at Chelsea

that bugs me as well but i think it says a lot about our overall progress when we're unhappy about failing to steal a march on the usual suspects at the top of the table and not counting the points up to see if we can avoid the drop.

I don't think I said it was?

However enough people seem to think that £200 million = def top four / probably the title. And enough of those people are going to be sorely disappointed. And would have been had Mourinho had come in the summer and done the same.

"Little" "Shitty" "Poor" "only fucking ***** insert as appropriate" are going to beat better, richer, costlier teams all season.

Had we got the three away draws and held on against Fulham and Burnley I'd have been happy as a pig in shit.

No divine right to win, no matter how much we have spent kids, and there are plenty of "better" teams than us not playing well at the mo too
