For Those Who Travelled From Manchester To Palace Last Night

Left Manchester at 12-30 and stopped for half an hour for KFC on the way.

Sat Nav did the wonders and took us off the M25 towards Chelsea. Over Thames and on through Tooting. No problems and parked up at the ground for 5pm. Got in bar which was part of the Main Stand and after two pints, a jobsworth steward asked us to leave as this was a Bar for Palace fans only.

Why was the Linesman so bad ???

Made our return journey via the same route and dropped everybody off by 2-10am. Home and then used Sky+ to watch pre-match build up and scan through the game.

Would recommend this route but hope it is a good while before we have to go there again !!

Wasn't it the last time we played there was an accident on the M25 nearer Croydon, and the matrix signs warned of it? We came off at the previous junction but others just carried on and got stuck. Were the coaches stuck on the M25 or just a driver who couldn't think of an alternative route?

(Last time back from Arsenal there'd been a bad accident at M6 jn 15, but we were getting clear matrix signs - then got an accident sign for after jn 14 - but the next sign was clear, so we stayed on.... A different accident and we were stuck two hours.)
