With Kolarov being the liability he is,the Coentrao links are exactly that.
He would be a huge upgrade but i guess its a case of shifting a poor player on a huge contract that few would understandably match while convincing a far superior player that he may be playing second fiddle while entering his peak.

I still think there'll be a flurry of activity involving squad players nearer the end of the transfer window. It makes sense to leave those sorts of deals until late on. Incoming players don't need to go straight into the first team and a lot of players will become available then, not now.
