Forget Recriminations, how do we sort this mess out?

Mancini is directly quoted in most of the match reports today. Including broadsheets...

Mancini: "I didn't like the way we played but then maybewe have not even worked well in training."

WTF - this is the biggest topic of concern for me. A manager who, for whatever reason, seems to concede we are not in it together.

From memory the interview I heard had him using the word maybe( i have inserted above for clarification)...as in...'to be honest with you i am scratching my head a bit over this too'
Obviously my interpretation.
A quick scan of all the interviews available online and I cannot find one that verifies your quote word for word..Can you post a link so I can hear it from Mancini's lips?

Also in The Times and Express - I have in hardcopy form - most newspaper websites to tend to get refreshed from midday.

Here's one, though

He actually said 'maybe we should work more hard in training'

Here lies the problem..................

Man for man we have the best squad in the league but we lack the mental strength and edge that other squads have and that needs sorting.

We're not playing as a team at the moment and i don't think the players are on board with what's expected of them..............it's a problem!

I'm not sure some people realise how important top 4 is this season?

It's vitally important for somebody.

Your not wrong!

Do me a favour, mate.

This quote is a direct one from the manager. You can't make City fans accountable for whatever he utters.

Fact is, the quotes are in TODAY'S gutter press, not anybody alerting them to the fact.

More fool Mancini, as you say, but an even bigger fool, perhapd, for selecting players who have not performed in training.

Which should tell us where the power is in the game today.

You made "we have not worked well" into "we have not worked together well".

I know you know the difference between the two, and because of your status and the current climate on this forum the cat is now amongst the pigeons. Shameful.

What is shameful is you attempting to tar me. I have subsequently posted a link to quotes which differ from your own perception of what was said.

I had also stated previously not to make be accountable for lost in translation or missing quotes.

Aim your bile in another direction.

It's amazing the difference between real life and the printed press.

It's amazing you conveniently make no reference to the example I had requested of me to post a link.

here it is again

Have you heard it come from his mouth tolmie? How do you know what he said wasn't meant to come out like that with the language barrier?

Will the lot of you calm the fuck down.

It reminds me of time I spent in changing rooms after dire performances on a Sunday.

He said, you said, they said.

Am I the only one who can see that a season has perhaps hit rock bottom yet with City still in a healthy place in cups and league?

I agree, as I have a few times today that something isnt right and that we will see the real talent in the manager of the coming weeks.

If he can hack it then things will change, if he can't then get Jose on the blower for next season.

I still think you will see a real change for the rest of the season.

I suppose the manager has lost wiggle room because of the manner of the performances, but thats all it is performances!

Chelsea have fallen further, faster and with as good a squad.

Yes, in a BBC TV interview.

Not a written press conference, done usually afterwards, and with most nationals reporting the same quotes.

As others have argued, Mancini chats a lot of shit during interviews due to the langauge barrier.

But the written quotes are all in context with both proceeding and precceeding sentence.

Still no apology!

You inferred that that there was unrest in the training camp from the quote "we have not worked well in training". In my opinion this was an incorrect interpretation.

I'm surprised you have re-referred me to an incorrect quote which i believe was incorrectly interpreted.

I'm also sorry you think I am trying to tar you, I'm just disagreeing with you.
