I'm surprised you have re-referred me to an incorrect quote which i believe was incorrectly interpreted.

I must admit that's how my voice went when I was writing it.

The terminology was perhaps OTT, I use the word too much and maybe I didn't realise the connotations.

I am staggered by the level of negativity on here today. I know we haven't been pulling up trees recently and I know expectations, quite rightly, are very high these days. But honestly, the opinions of people on here of what has happened in recent weeks in no way reflects what I have seen on the pitch. We really are talking about a couple of poor cup performances (with half the team rested on bobbins ploughed fields), a performance at Villa where although we weren't brilliant, we were ok and imo deserved something and a draw at Birmingham where Chelsea lost and united also drew. FFS, reading this thread, you'd think we were on a 5 match losing streak. I honestly dispair at the current run being described as a mess or the season coming off the rails. Even the c*nts in the press aren't coming out with this shit at the moment but some fans seem to be intent on trying to create a crisis where there simply isn't one imo.

I've got to say, they appear in context with regards what follows in the sentence.

A few weeks ago I was championing his cause, in the belief he had finally got everyone on board.

But this contradicts it all. There is a man in the background, as per usual, who is doing his usual come hither.

I've made no secret of my ultimate admiration and he was/is potentially the only man to kickstart a revolution.

It's a debate for another day. If Mancini succeeds, City succeed.
