Forget Recriminations, how do we sort this mess out?

Against the best team in the world he might just finish 2nd, sure. Still in with a sniff of the CL though and to suggest that this season is already a write off for both RM and Mourinho is a little premature, as it is to do so for us and Bobby.

against the best team in the world ????? have you seen real madrid team mate ???????? they are all at least good as the barcelona players , or even better.

the real difference is in the manager. guardiola >>>>>>>>>>>> mourinho both in results and , much more , in the style of play

Can't really agree with that, Barcelona are a team forged of young players who have played at the highest level with each other for years. Real Madrid have a better manager but the team isn't even remotely close yet, they are missing world class quality in literally every key position, i've never even considered Casillas as one of the best. Barcelona though not perfect have for me the best attacking lineup in the world right now, all proven quality players, Real Madrid are a long way behind.

I wonder how Mourinho could swan in and achieve all of this.

At Real he has the level of players we would likely want get at City but he has fellen below expectations.

From what I read Ronaldo, the worlds most expensive player is turning into an arrogant prick under Jose and the team spirit is lacking.

All more evidence of the Jose affect.

Real's squad had a lack of team spirit last season too, it's only emphasised by Ronaldo knowing that that team relies on him. It's an interesting time there because I think there will be some changes for sure.

We will have to disagree on both counts im afraid there mate.

Interesting thoughts though. Would you therefore agree that Guardiola is better than Bobby, both as a manager and in style of play?

of course. at the minute this is what everybody can easily see. guardiola is the real number one in results and style. and is a very lovable guy , while mourinho is just an orrible twat always moaning against referee and the board and the press and all averything is mooving in the whole world. twat.

I've just posted this in another thread, but to be honest it probably should have been in this thread, so apologies for the repetition.

Any road, this is the way I see it with Mourinho:

Its a Catch 22 in terms of Mourinho coming to City next season - it is logically impossible - I just can't envisage a set of circumstances in which it could actually happen. Consider the 2 scenarios:

If we finished in the Top 4, it would be a pretty daft and indefensible decision to sack Mancini, as he would have achieved the objective set out to him for this season. This would be our best finish in decades, and we would have reached the Holy Grail of the Champions League for the first time in our history. If we sacked him after achieving that, we would appear to be the most unreasonable, impatient, know-nothing, trigger happy Club in recent memory - a true laughing stock. Therefore Mourinho wouldn't end up coming to the Club.

If we finished 5th, we could sack Mancini for failing to reach his targets - that would be entirely understandable. Yet Mourinho wouldn't want to come to a Club not in the Champion's League, which we wouldn't be having finished 5th. Therefore Mourinho wouldn't end up coming to the Club.

The only way he could end up at the Club would be the season after, if we made the CL again, but were deemed not have made any progress elsewhere - ie: in the Cup itself, and in the Domestic Cups, and just ended up finishing 4th again. We could have an argument then. But I think that would be too late for Mourinho, as it looks like he'll be moving this summer, not next.

For this reason, I feel we all need to get over our Mourinho fantasies and get behind the bloke in charge at the moment. Yes - there are problems, and yes these need to be addressed, but all these people saying 'If Mancini fails, he'll be for the chop, and we'll just go ahead and get Mourinho in the summer' can't have thought the situation through properly.

Excellent point about us finishing 5th and then Mourinho not wanting to come. Spot on and i've said as much in another thread earlier on today. Dont forget that we would also see players wanting out and we would struggle to replace those as well.

5th would be a fucking disaster.

I still wont dismiss the thought of Mourinho coming to us though as i'd want him here as i would Messi or Ronaldo, because i believe them to be the best there is.

to believe that a permanently injured player is better than a healthy one says everything about your competence

Biiiiiiiiiitchy,but funny cos its true.
What's really amusing about manciJo is that he said all this about mourinho being inferior to Mancini last year. He reckoned he was ruining his club.

He went a bit quiet when he won them the big one .
