The following season at Notts County in the league he came on as a second half sub, scored twice, and turned the game on its head. We eventually ran out 3-1 winners.
Yeah it's the Port Vale one i'm thinking about in the cup as we got marched around the pitch at half time and i remember Clive Allen coming straight off the bench and scoring straight from the corner.
My memory is that bad now i'm confusing myself.............lol

It finished 2-2. We had loads of tickets. We were shit. I'm guessing around 1994. Did Taggart equalise late on?
Do you remember the Notts County one where Coton slapped one of there fans when they invaded the pitch at the end?........i think that was a cup match aswell?
Yep, 5th round tie - the round after Clive Allen's winner at Port Vale. They were in the division below and Warnock was manager - he'd got involved with a bit of mind games in the days leading up to the game, saying that our front 3 of Quinn, Allen, and White scared him to death. We battered them - hit the woodwork FOUR times but ended up losing 1-0 to a last minute goal scored by Gary Lund who almost missed the target from a few yards out. I was gutted - it was my first season following City away and by the time you get to the 5th round you really are thinking this could be your year.
