Can aguero play on the left of a front 3, like david villa?
with our current squad I would use

Tevez playing to feet and holding it up as he does so well, navas playing as a typical RW and Aguero cutting in playing LF

Actually I seem to remember a young tevez playing on the left for argentina and scoring a wonder goal in the copa, so he could swap with tevez (although tevez is better at holding up the ball in that false 9 role)

Broadly agree Blighty but, if we dont get Di Maria, I think Milner on the left would give a better balance to the team. Would use Aguero from the bench, after about an hour, when Tevez had run their centre-halves around a bit

Regardless of who we bring in from here on out, it seems clear to me that we will be playing a very fluid formation (call it 4-3-3 or 4-5-1) with only one striker. How very Spainy of us.

Xheredan Shaqiri would be a great alternative to isco, cheaper, faster with a great work ethic and simlar ability and same age.

That's exactly how I see it will be.

Lescott, Richards, Milner, Rodwell, Džeko will all get plenty of games with squad rotation. Others less so but will still get games.

So for me I'd like to see a second left back with a higher quality than Kolarov and the promotion of one of the young attacking midfielders we have (Lopes, for example) into the first team proper.
