Impressive how Verstappen made up the lost time when changing tires. He simply is a class act. He must love his overspent car.
RB constructors title as well. Great tribute to the late Mateschitz.
Yep. In an ideal world, you'd have a championship where all the drivers drove identical cars. But let's be honest here, that's never going to happen. Too many vested interests. Those cars are mobile billboards. When you have two great drivers it’s the car then that wins it

He's definitely not that! And what's with all that stupid orange? Presumably so it's easier to spot the sexists and racists!Verstappen... He simply is a class act.
Drown in your bitterness. And better stick to City. F1 is not for you. He's definitely not that! And what's with all that stupid orange? Presumably so it's easier to spot the sexists and racists!
Why would you want equal cars?Yep. In an ideal world, you'd have a championship where all the drivers drove identical cars. But let's be honest here, that's never going to happen. Too many vested interests. Those cars are mobile billboards.
I've been watching F1 since the late 60s sunshine, so take your patronising tone elsewhere.Drown in your bitterness. And better stick to City. F1 is not for you.
As for sexists and racists, unfortunately you have these one braincell persons in every country. So grow up unless you are 12 or enjoy acting like one.
He’s one of the new breed of fan boys.I've been watching F1 since the late 60s sunshine, so take your patronising tone elsewhere.
Seriously? Make it more about the drivers, rather than the cars. Why would you want equal cars?
That's not what Formula 1 is all about, part of the appeal is the technology and design that goes into those cars.
Then it's not F1, more like Formula E /Nascar and for me that is absolute crap.Seriously? Make it more about the drivers, rather than the cars.
In essence the Drivers aren't really what F1 has ever been about. It's always been about the whole package; the design of the car, the effectiveness of the team and engineers, the tactics and skill of the drivers and crew. The driver reaps the rewards and praise, ultimately, but the whole season isn't just about the 'driver', which is why they have two and a Constructors Championship.Seriously? Make it more about the drivers, rather than the cars.
I would add the Constructers title is of far greater importance than the drivers title. In essence the Drivers aren't really what F1 has ever been about. I don't like watching F1 to determine who the best driver is, I also want to see which is the better car, which innovations have made the bigger impacts. The Americanisation of the sport has dimmed this a little, which is why quite a number of people are saying the sport has become more boring in recent years. Think Le Mans and Endurance racing; that race is wholly about the winning team, not the winning driver/s.
Agreed. Drivers don't win championships on their own. The hard work and dedication of the engineers and mechanics build a championship winning car and they deserve equal recognition, hence the Constructors. Just look at this years Ferrari. A genuine championship winning car, yet beset by issues regarding their own crew chief, bizarre, race losing tactics and some mistakes by Leclerc and Sainz (and genuine misfortune)I would add the Constructers title is of far greater importance than the drivers title.
