Yes but he's always been like this. Drop him. It's the standout call. But we need to do more than that. We need to drop KDB too. Mahrez inside might work. Mahrez is still a top class player but not at right wing. I don't see Pep ever giving a player freedom of the park so he's probably finished at City.Agreed, ffs Mahrez has brought very little to the table for some time now. I've always given him the benefit of the doubt but those days have gone. Yesterday was painful to watch as too many times it broke down with him - poor touches, too many touches. Backwards and sideways, too easy to mark as he has little to no pace, so half-decent opposition teams have plenty of time to double up on him if needed.. The odd moment of genius every 3 games is not enough. Time to go?.......

It is lost. The problem is that KDB is central to this side and he's on two star petrol and it's completely run through the engine. It's either total engine replacement or write off.Arsenal gave the blueprint in the FA cup semi final last year. Since then everytime we have been beaten is the same way. What we need is to put those chances away and defend in shape when we lose the ball.
At present we are neither clinical or organised.Ederson needs to stop making scoring easy by rushing out, if he just stayed a little further back it would pressure the attackers and possibly give defenders a chance to get back.
We are also not getting the Lucky breaks like the shot that KDB had that was stopped by Jesus.
The inverted wingers is not working as teams are narrow meaning there are 2 or 3 on them blocking from getting to the byline.
That is why Mahrez doesn't suit us, we need wingers playing on their natural side which will speed up play.
The season is not lost but we need to go on one of the long running winning streaks starting from now.
Drop him. Play Foden or Bernardo in that position. We wont do it.

All about the pace of pass. Doesn't matter so much the direction of the pass but to create space it has to be played fast and first touch. We train it in rondas and then forget it when we get on the pitch. Its blindingly obvious we arent doing it and thats why opposition has time to reorganise.

Players made Fern captain. Kev is just one of the Senior group given the job when Fern isn't on the pitch. All down to not adequately replacing the great players who have gone recently.
Should have been more ruthless and ambitious in the transfer market. Being holistic, worrying what the G14 and big bad media say about us has bitten us on the arse.
Fuck the lot of them. We need to go big or become also rans, that's the board's decision. I'm hoping following Pep's contract extension it'll be the former and we have a realistic expectation and ambition to dominate. For that we need players worthy of the likes of David Silva, Yaya, prime Kun and Vinnie.
I think finally our defenders are now ok, Dias and Laporte are terrific, but the likes of Bernardo and Mahrez, Rodri and Gundog are clearly not good enough. That is what's hurting us.
Until we get over this seeming fear of spending over £80m plus on a player we'll continue to be inconsistent and have more of these shitshow games.

I was saying last night, the risk has gone from our game. KDB aside no-one plays a risk and reward pass. That's why it's so slow and predictable.
Bernardo has morphed into a 'nice and safe' midfielder when he was an energetic attacking threat who committed defenders, winning countless free-kicks.
I honestly think the biggest issue is Rodri. As a player he's very good and was last night, but his lack of pace and mobility means the extra player in the middle has to play deeper, focusing on their defensive duties rather than their attacking.
Also playing playing wingers who have to cut inside means their is less space. In truth Aurier and Reguillon knew they were unlikely to be beaten down the outside and it became easy for them.

You make a good point about Kev being a yard short and he’s not been bursting away from midfield plodders like he used to for a while. You somewhat undo that point however when you mention putting Bernie in there ahead of him. A player who’d still be 2 yards short of this current Kev, offer barely any assists, goals or take on much responsibility. Keeps the ball well though currently whilst going sideways and backwards.It is lost. Play the fucking ball forward.....not sideways,not backwards......fucking FORWARDS!!!
And don't fucking wait till the opposition have ten behind the ball before we decide to shoot.
