Foy - just a bad referee

It's 2012 now not the 1940's, how they are not using the 20 TV cameras dotted around the stadium to help officiate the games is a fucking joke. Even Cricket, the most traditional sport on the planet uses TV replays to help make decisions.

It is so simple as well, just give the managers 4 challenges, 2 for each half in which they can request a decision the ref made is looked at. If they are right they keep their challenges and if they are wrong they lose it.

This season so far has been awful for bad decisions costing teams points and the refs seem to get shitter and shitter ever year. It's time the game was modernized and maybe can stop us all moaning about how the ref ruined yet another game.

Chris Foy has had three very poor games this season.

Chelsea, Spurs and more recently, City were the teams to suffer. Three of the four favourites for the league title.

I am not one for conspiracy theories but that's a stunning coincidence.

-- Tue Jan 10, 2012 6:39 pm --

Even Graham poll has come out and said at worst big vinnies red card was only a yellow card, even though he doesnt even think it was a foul in the first place
That worries me because apart from retiring, what decisions did Poll ever get right?

Josip Simunic did deserve to receive each of his three yellow cards?

It say's alot for the the English game sadly, the standards of referee's is shocking. Webb, Clattenburg and a few others are O.K but then you have Dean, Foy, Walton and the rest of the incompitent brigade.

I watch a few Seria A games on ESPN and even though there was the Calciopoli scandal a few years ago i would say the refereeing standard is currently better in Italy, certainly less biased towards the top teams.

Not just in Italy though, think of our Europa league runs in the last few seasons, and this year's Champions league run. I would say that in 90% of these games the referee's were fair and had good fitness levels.

...I agree with other posters in here to be honest, with all of the money involved with the BPL corruption is likely. It is the same every where, lot's of Governments are corrupt, Seria A was corrupt, why should it be so unlikely that there is corruption in England?

actually graham poll seems to talk some good sense since he has retired , probably because he now has no one to answar to

The thing is, he was excellent (arguably the best refereeing performance we've had this season) when we played Newcastle at home. It was a fairly tasty game and he didn't book a single player.

Foy - just a bad referee? Not bad. Not very bad. Way past excruciatingly bad. Rank bad verging on 'putrid'! He has the most debilitating effect on any game in which he officiates and on the game of football generally. The fact that he is still refereeing given the gash performances over the seasons is sufficient evidence that the FA don't give a shit about standards.

Webb is shit, Dean is pretty good. Clattenburg inconsistent.

Sorry if someone else pointed it out but the free kick the shit ref gave instead of playing the advantage was the one Kolarov scored from - turned out to be a good decision in the end!

choose shit referee and then get the 4th official to tell him what to do even if it means there's a bit of an obvious delay between the incident and the biased rag decision to send him off
