FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

If a City fan does that, I'll predict a City win and a Salah blank.

(but I'm not taking THAT for the team knowing my luck and the current state of the defense)

I'm still not sure who I'm captaining either. Down to 4, maybe 5, but I don't like chasing last week's Cunha points.
I'm captaining Salah, (not triple though) it is what it is.

The only thing is I have to play a City defender with having 2 and my 4M option injured.

I can't take a -4 to get rid of a defender, it doesn't make sense, although I was contemplating it last night.

I'm torn between captaining Salah, though it pains me to do it, or else giving the armband to Palmer or Saka. Problem is, Salah nearly always scores against us. Even back when we were good (remember that?), the scruffy tw@ always scored against us.

I've got Akanji as my obligatory (for me, anyway) Citeh player in the squad. He'll probably be in my starting XI. If I don't pick him, it's either Jack Stephens or Sepp Van Den Berg to come in off the bench. More likely, the latter.

Just noticed Gabriel picked up an injury last night and is not a definite starter this weekend

If he's out that only leaves me with 3 fit defenders, 2 of which are Gvardiol and Rico, and I'm not convinced either will start at the dippers.

My team is in tatters at the moment can't be arsed even looking at it. I blame Arne Slot for subbing Quansah at half time the first week. It was all downhill from there for me!

Glad it's not just mine. I'm currently bottom of my work mini league. Below someone who did a team at the start and hasn't touched it since which is just the worst.

Yeah. Every year I say to myself ignore all preseason games. Every year I have 2 or 3 that looked good in preseason.

That said I had Quansah at the back end of last season and he did well. Surprised he's not had a sniff.
It always happens, you get a couple of hyped up players pre-season, they look like bargains and we fall for it. And they end up useless.

Barco at Brighton was the other one I fell for this season. Was playing all pre-season, then when the real thing came around he never got a minute before they fucked him off abroad.

Another I had to get rid of in GW3.

I think it is more Arteta mind games than anything. Most feel he will play this weekend and Arteta is making it a thing when it doesn't have to be. Give him an avenue to create doubt, and he will take it.

Gabriel was later seen laughing with teammates on the bench afterwards, so I'm not taking any action on him, especially at West Ham. I too have Gvardiol and am just as concerned that he plays this weekend after recent defensive performances.

I sold Lewis last night, it was a move I was going to make in the next few weeks anyway. That's allowed me to bench Gvardiol at the dippers but he has to go next week as I see him as a minutes risk with his form and now Ake is back.
