FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

I've just bottled triple Wolves, I can't do it, but Cunha and Ait-Nouri are in my team again

What is it they say about the definition of insanity....?
It deserves company? They're both already in my FH too, and I'll venture a good number more next week given they have LEI at home and just kept a clean sheet against another team in the EPL with nothing to play for.

I need to find a differential that will pay off as a lot of FHs will involve the usual suspects playing the relegated teams, of which there are some nice matchups this next GW.

I'm going triple Newcastle attack, Isak, plus Murphy and Barnes but I'm wary Gordon could start, so will keep an eye on the press conference, before a final decision.

Doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results, was the quote I was thinking of.

My current draft.

Definitely a quote worth mentioning, but both players are still very popular this week (Cunha went up in price overnight, so non-FHers are bringing him in), so you shouldn't feel uneasy about that.
My current draft.
Your current and mine only has 6 starters in common, so maybe I spoke too soon!?

There are lots of options this GW for the FHers, unlike last year's GW29 with only 4 matches total then. That had too much sameness. But we're essentially mostly attacking the same fixtures, just with different players.

Crawled up to 54 pts, with 6 playing tomorrow night.
I'm done with this week - City getting the win tonight was enough for me. TC Marmoush blank and I don't care.

And don't be surprised if not all Palace play/start tomorrow night. They have one thing left to play for, and it won't be chanced on 4 days rest going into Sunday's FA match.

Crept up to 54 but only 3 left to play so a poor week with so many double gameweekers. Still annoyed at the vagaries of the scoring system that Marmoush didn't get an assist last night. Especially as you get one for missing a penalty like Ascencio got a few weeks back!

I think you get 1 for winning a penalty. Is that right? And extra for scoring and negative something for missing.

The assist stats are generally more generous in the official stats. The BBC stats are different and often don't give any assist credit.

I don't think you get anything for winning the penalty but I know he definitely got the assist for someone knocking in the rebound after he'd had his penalty saved, he's in the team of one of my rivals so I was delighted with him missing a second penalty and couldn't believe it when he still ended the match with 2 positive points!

Rashford simply got 1 goal last night for "winning the penalty". For a midfielder, that is worth 5 points. If he was a FWD in the FPL game, he would have received 4 points for his penalty goal (see Joao Pedro recently vs LEI).

Jacob Ramsey earned 1 assist yesterday for the play that led to the penalty. That was worth 3 points as a MID.

Asensio got -2 points for each penalty miss vs. SOU. He got an assist on 1 of those misses for 3 points when the other player followed it up with a goal because he took the PK, and the miss led to the goal.

Same, I was *hoping* for it, but after the AVL deflection from Marmoush's pass into the box, I wasn't *expecting* it given the ball took a slightly different angle to Bernardo.

Do I think the pass would have made it to Bernardo had it not been deflected?

Probably, but I don't think they are going to be looking into it to that degree to award the assist. Bummer here too given I was on TC, but I wasn't too surprised when the assist wasn't given.

Fotmob didn't give Marmoush an assist either, and sometimes FPL will with more generous scoring on an assist, but not this time.

Whoever gets fouled for a penalty gets an assist as long as it's not the penalty taker, as you can't assist yourself for a goal.

A 0-0 tonight would be perfect for me. I've got two Arsenal defenders and their keeper, and three Palace midfielders.

Not going to happen, though. Can't see Palace keeping Arsenal out.

Not confident all will play either, think both sides may make a few changes.

Yeah; they've both got their sights set elsewhere, unfortunately. If Timber doesn't play, Isak will come off the bench. Everyone else has played (some twice) in this GW.
Timber start's.

This week gets better and better for me.

Had a potential 6 players in this game and 3 are on the bench.

Saka (captain), Mateta and Sarr.
