Frank Field Quits Labour

she is in Wallasey too so probably just high jinks from a dipper getting some practise in on his way to find the City team bus.

Eagle's office is one of a number of offices belonging to various small enterprises in a fairly anonymous three story block, a brick was thrown through a stairwell window that faced a pathway at the side of the building, late one night/early morning.

Eagle's office is on the ground floor with a Labour Party banner in the window, it is no more exposed than the stairwell window so any one wanting to make a political point would probably have thrown it through there, either way, on an estate where window breaking is not unknown a broken stairwell window is scant evidence of Momentum hordes.

By the way, when blairites scream they're being threatened it usually means someone's called them an arsehole.

And you would relish the chance to rip them over it.

It doesn't make it right does it?

no it doesn't but it adds a little balance to the warped picture being presented. I just watched Nicholas Soames on Sky news pay massive tribute to Frank Field - because he knows Field is a Tory at heart with a general leaning closer to him than any Labour party or leader. Its quite funny but he like others time after time claim to know loads of Labour MP's ready to drop the party whip.............but it doesn't happen? Why? Because if you repeat something often enough thats all that gets seen on the news and in the papers which then gives it a veneer of the truth.

So your not saying they are not happening or condemning it, but justifying them because it happens in other parties as well. The Soubry story is about the level of abuse from the public not an internal movement hijacking the party.

Is there any evidence that in the Soubry case nobody - not one threat not one post - who is a Tory party member was involved? I was showing that its not exclusively Labour - I wouldn't condone any of it in any party - as for the idea that there is a hijacking of the Labour Party thats just absurd. If Momentum had overrun the party and if their intentions were as some would have you believe then why are there not mass deselctions? Why is Watson still deputy?

You know it is actually possible to pay tribute to someone who has different political views, right? It doesn't make them an evil enemy just because they have a different opinion.

like many people pay tribute to Jeremy Corbyn on here despite him holding different political views......................oh no wait ...............

Indeed. I said it's possible. But they have to be good people. Tony Benn got a lot of tributes from the right too. Corbyn doesn't. Funny that.

yeah - the response I expected.

Anyway Frank Field is getting lots of respect from Tories even though he isn't in their party......... speaks volumes.

Clement Attlee gets lots of respect from Tories even though he wasn't in their party. Speaks volumes.
