Frank Field Quits Labour

Also can everyone keep the zionist nonsense to the anti-semetism thread or bashing a tory comment to the may thread, otherwise if every political thread is going to turn from a real debate to a slag bozza/may or slag corbyn theme then political forum is a waste of time.

You cannot expect to start a thread on someone who has quit because of antisemitism apparently - his claim I’m not saying it’s true - and then not expect people to talk about antisemitism.

It seems to me you just wanted everyone to come on and agree with your thoughts on the topic.

Well said and its saved me a job saying the exact same thing.

But it wasn't what I wanted, was it? It was a discussion on fields record and peopele are/ were free to agree with me or say why his quiting and if he does loose a byelection if called is a bad thing.
But as soon as people wanted to make is another arguement about corbyn it derails.

We can mention anti-semetism in the context of his resignation letter and whether he is sincere in his reasoning or not., the what and why about labours AS row is already going on in the Corbyn thread.

I couldn't give a fuck if no one agrees with my original post or opinion of fields, everyone can tell me I am wrong and he is a decent MP and a loss to the party at lest we would be having an original debate not a rehash of the same arguements.

Sorry but you can't have a one sided debate mate.

He is being thrown under the bus because of his problems with Corbyn, Momentum and because of the anti Semitism question so its entirely relevant to discuss it imo.

To try and say its not and everything to do with him being disliked and not representing his constituents when he has been elected by them since 1979 just doesn't wash im afraid.

Its politics, no point hiding from it and they are all big boys who know the rules so lets discuss it.

He quit because he had a vote of no confidence in him from his CLP because of his latest act in voting with the government, and the CLP were considering a request to remove the whip.

Why people want to turn it into a mommentum conspiracy is beyond me, seems such a mindset is no different to the left wingers who think all anti labour stuff is a right wing conspiracy.

This is a simple matter of an MP finally testing his local members patience, whether he will be missed by labour is the question.

For me no as I find him a bit of a knob.

The CLP is not all of his constituents or a vast majority of labour supporters and voters.

The same applies up and down the country.

Im sticking with my opinion of why he is being thrown under the bus.

That's your choice and I respect that, I think if it had been someone like chris bryant or even our own lucy powell I would think it was some atempt at ousting them , but Fields I am no where near convinced.

With the Tories never weaker and Government there for the taking, Labour are also seemingly self imploding.

Pisses me right off.
