the only live commentary i could find last night was bbc radio manchester - had to switch eyre off and listen to talkshite updates instead , he is so negative he is pathetic - what is the problem with the local bbc coverage ? eyre and gleghron are 2 of the most miserable gits i have ever heared in my life . absolutely zero positive comments from either most of the time

gleghorn is pushing for sky, i think it is in fred eyre,s nature, but i agree totally i,ve been saying it for months, but when you get rags on they bull united for fun even when giggs ties his bootlaces they talk of style, i also think andy hinchcliffe puts a downer on everything, the only defence i can have for fred is that he is one of the very very old style city fans? the one where my glass isn,t half empty it,s broke?

Fred Eyre is the best City pundit in my opinion. He sees the game well and knows the club inside out.

We had a thread about Fred a week ago didn't we, saying something similar. Personally, I like him. Yes he is a bit of a misery, but for me he just says it as he sees it and sometimes gthere are negatives that can be pointed out and sometimes positives. No he isn't a sycophantic tosser like most united pundits but why would you want to hear someone who ignores any negatives. I don't like Gleghorn but that is because I genuinely don't ever get the feeling he knows what he is talking about.

I have to agree. I was listening to his comments when Zabaleta came on for Nimley and he said however are we going to score when Mancini has taken off a striker....... Obviously Roberto knows what he's doing! Well done Roberto and well done City.

Gleghorn's not too bad either. Repeats his main points too much for me but he's generally OK. I only ever really hear him after the games when I'm on my way home, so I don't know about during the game.

both of them depress the hell out of me - i am surprised with eyre because the books he wrote in the 80,s were very witty and a good read . i went to a fans forum a few years ago with tommy booth & glyn pardoe , fred was the mc ;-to be honest i have heared funnier funeral directors- tommy booth had to bail him out several times . what has happened to the chinch or the 1152 radio coverage ?

Have you ever noticed 2 that when there commentating on a game they will chat about anything other than the fuckin game they supposed to be commentating on,you never know whats going on,on the odd away game i miss i just cant listen to it anymore.
