There are several key players whose absence may ruin our season Ferny, KDB and Walker, I would say are all critical.

We are literally one Fernandinho injury away from our season going tits up. We’d still probably win the league and a great chance at the league cup but don’t think we’d stand a good chance in the other two without Dinho.

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Dinho and he’s nigh on impossible to replace like for like (certainly within the squad) but we have different options like Gundogan. Yes we’d have to change the pattern of play and maybe push Walker and whoever is at left in a bit to provide additional defensive protection but we would still be fine.

Personally the only player I really fret about when he is not playing is D Silva, as long as he plays we tend to hold the ball better, make better passes and by so doing take the pressure off the defence. Obviously he has the other qualities as well, for me if he plays always optimistic we will win.

Fred of course would however be a superb addition to a fantastic midfield.

Shows how far we have come when some believe only winning the league and one cup is a tits up season.

If we are that dependant on Dhino (or any one player for that matter), we are in a bad place and I, don't think we are - we have a good squad

Was hoping Fred might kick off to force the move but he obviously hasn’t. I guess he knows he’ll get his move in time.

But you could say that about every club. Chelsea without Hazard, Pool without Salah, Arse without Ozil, Spurs without Kane, rags without De Gea, all would end their hopes for the remainder of the season
