The irony.

From the Red Cafe Fred thread.

Modmins said "freeze" and I got numb
Meh, another mercenary choosing Oil money over regular football.

It's so sad to see players sacrificing their game for Oil money.
Hahahahahahaha. It sounds like that should be a troll. But I bet it isn't.

My little half Brazilian first cousin, who lives in Rio; and who I lived with when he was a toddler, is named Fred. Kid's a big City fan on my account.

I really hope I can buy him a City Fred shirt for his birthday.

I'd have sworn my cousin was the only Fred in Brazil. He was named after his father's hometown of Frederick, in the states. But that's 2 Brazilian internationals named Fred in the last few years. Who knew?

That filthy oil money. That illegal and immoral substance that the entire planet runs on. It might as well be heroin money.

Will his past doping ban, (a masking agent), cause any difficulties for our club? (You can imagine cheeky journalists trying to cause mischief).

His market value understandably went down when he was serving his playing ban up to the start of this season.

You mean beyond every commentator and journalist mentioning it at every opportunity? I can't imagine so, he's technically broken the rules (albeit hardly from trying to gain an edge from what I see)and been punished, done what was required and I would hope shows no trace of falling in to that pit again.

On a par with the Kolo one I would say in terms of severity, the drug he took is not itself an enhancer, but can mask the presence of other enhancers. I don't think for a second he was doing that going into a Copa America finals, my concerns would be more about why he was actually taking it - if he has high blood pressure issues or even heart issues then that could be a concern.

Contract clause takes care of known stuff like that.
